For foodies, dining at a restaurant is not only about the interior of the store, but also about the flavor of the dishes, some of which are also some of the services offered by the store. I may have never been to a very high end restaurant, but there are different services in between compared to the high end dining scene. Provide napkins for that matter. Most low-end dining offers free paper napkins, while the opposite is true for high-end dining.
I think people who go to low-end restaurants have relatively low incomes and are more price sensitive. At this point, if you offer paper towels for free, it will increase the number of customers; if you charge for the paper towels, you will feel that they are more expensive than the meal. For those who have high income and are not price sensitive, they usually own upscale restaurants. Currently, even if they don't offer paper towels, they won't have a problem with it. Because the paper towel is very small compared to a meal of the same price, most people don't care about it at all. That way, the restaurant can charge more money even though it's not a lot of money.
Low-end dining is about attracting customers through slim margins and quick sales. Everyone's profits are low, just like the snack bars around, and with this type of marketing, a lot of people eat, so the paper towels will be free, because their goal is to build up volume. High-end dining will attract customers through a high profit and low volume environment. There may not be many people eating, but the prices are higher than outside. This is the kind of marketing that goes into catering at big hotels. The food there is similar to food made outside, but obviously more expensive than outside because of the environment, and those costs are included in the food.
Although the paper towels are free, the mechanism for the freebies is different:Low-end catering is designed for slim margins but quick turnaround, and uses increased sales to increase profits. High-end dining will use increased sales prices to increase profits and increase volume.
