Historical evolution

Part of Xingning District was under the jurisdiction of Xingning Town in Nanning (Yongning County) before 1951, so it was named.

In p>1951, the streets in Nanning were managed by 11 police stations of the Municipal Public Security Bureau, and Xingning District was under the jurisdiction of four police stations: Xingning, Mingde, Ningwu and Heping. In 1951, Nanning was divided into the fourth, fifth and sixth districts and suburbs. Xingning district included most of the fifth district, a part of the sixth district and a small part of the suburbs. In 1953, the original four, five and six districts in Nanning were changed to the second, third and fourth districts. On March 5, the same year, the people elected by universal suffrage, and the people's government of the third district (now Xingning District) was established, which was the beginning of the establishment of Xingning District. In February 1955, the organizational system of the third district (now Xingning District) was abolished, and five sub-district offices were established in Xingning, Minsheng, Jiefang, Upper Yongjiang and Lower Yongjiang. In July 1958, the sub-district office was abolished, the district-level organizational system was restored, Xingning District was established, and the district party committee was established. The urban boundary between Xingning District and Chengbei District is based on the existing village boundary. Chengbei District and Xingning District respectively set up corresponding sub-district offices. Sub-district offices shall implement territorial management of their jurisdiction. The newly established sub-district office in Chengbei District is named "Anji Sub-district Office", and its office address is located in the former compound of Anji Town People's Government. Chaoyang Street: the jurisdiction is bounded by Chaoyang Creek, starting from Jicun in the east, Huaqiang Road in the west, Chaoyang Bridge in the south and Luxi Brigade of the Academy of Forestry in the north. The office is located in Jinan Road. Covering an area of 7 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 17 community neighborhood committees (Chaoyang, Huadong, Wucunling, Yunde, Zhonghua, Wangzhou, Wangzhou South, Donggouling, Ming Xiu Hydropower, Green Garden, Gaofeng Forest Farm, Forestry, Hot Cropping, Vanilla Garden, Academy of Forestry, Ming Xiu Luqiao and Sanjian) and 2 village committees (Huqiu and Jicun), with a total population at the end of the year.

Anning Street: covers an area of 1.9 square kilometers, with a total population of 1.16 million at the end of the year. It has jurisdiction over five village committees of Zaojiao, Beihu, Lianchou, Xijin and Yongning in the former Anji town, and its office is temporarily located in Zaocun.

Santang Town: located in the northeast of the city, 14 kilometers away from the city center. It has jurisdiction over 7 village committees (Santang, Naguang, Weichun, Dadeng, Naduo, Fulu and Ludong) and 33 villagers' groups. At the end of the year, the total population was 32,111, covering an area of 114 square kilometers.
