The Moon River of the Mole was written by Wang Yimei and was born in Taicang, Jiangsu in 1971. Member of Chinese Writers Association, Vice President of Children's Literature Branch of Suzhou Writers Association. Currently working in the School of Social Studies of Suzhou University. This long fairy tale won the 6th National Excellent Children's Literature Award of Chinese Writers Association.

The main characters in the book are two little moles, one named Micah and the other named Neri, who live by the Moon River. Micah is a different black mole. He likes to sleep during the day, and his mind often comes up with different ideas from others. Micah met Neri who was washing clothes by the Moon River on a quiet night, and became good friends with her. Neri gave Micah a magical stone-the Moon Stone. Later, Miga invented the washing machine to help her good friend Nelly, so that she could lighten the burden. He only took the moonstone and left his hometown alone to pursue his dreams. In a strange place, he met the magician Gollum, crow black charcoal and red pepper successively, and became good friends with them. Miga grew up with them, found self-confidence in the days of fighting alongside them, and finally returned to Moon River, realizing her dream and helping Neri.
