Listening to the name is romantic. The bookstore made its debut at the Shanghai Book Fair in 2019. With its novel design and unique positioning, it won the warm attention of professionals and mass audiences and received favorable reviews at its debut. After nearly three years of exploration, struggle and practice, the bookstore was officially unveiled in Chongming during the 10th China Flower Expo in 2021. The overall style of the building retains the original appearance of the farm era, and the mingling of Japanese log style and white walls is full of literary sense. The bookstore logo is set against a backdrop of scattered grains of rice and books arranged to show the vitality of natural rhythms.
It is not only a bookstore, but also a comprehensive cultural space. The bookstore showcases gourmet food, cultural and creative products, home gardening and Wang Yutai tea. This ceramic art gallery is run by a young couple born in the 1980s. The old site was a dilapidated agricultural machinery warehouse. After some decorations and arrangements by the couple, it has become a ceramic art gallery that is both literary and practical. The first floor is a workshop, while the second floor has a meeting room and an exhibition hall.
