(16) to supervise the implementation of the quality management standards for the production of Chinese herbal medicines and the processing standards for Chinese herbal pieces, and organize the implementation of the variety protection system for Chinese herbal medicines; Supervise and manage the trading of Chinese herbal medicines in urban and rural markets.

(5) to undertake the administrative licensing, supervision and management functions of pharmaceutical retail enterprises (excluding the headquarters of pharmaceutical chain enterprises, the business qualifications of psychotropic drugs of Class II, medicinal poppy shells and toxic drugs for medical use), and organize the monitoring of adverse drug reactions and drug abuse. Cooperate with relevant departments to implement the national essential drug system.

(6) to be responsible for the supervision and management of the production enterprises of non-sterile raw materials, Chinese herbal pieces, medical oxygen and pharmaceutical excipients, the entrusted inspection and filing of raw materials and products, and the supervision of pharmaceutical production in the factory.

(7) to be responsible for the daily supervision of the use of drugs and medical devices in medical institutions (excluding provincial and municipal medical institutions).

(8) Responsible for the supervision of the production and operation of Class I medical devices, and the monitoring of adverse medical device events and advertisements.

(9) To formulate the inspection system for the supervision and management of food, medicines, medical devices and cosmetics, organize its implementation, and investigate and deal with illegal acts. Supervise the implementation of the recall and disposal system for defective products.

(11) to be responsible for the construction of emergency system for food and drug safety accidents, organize and guide the emergency handling, investigation and handling of food and drug safety accidents, and supervise the implementation of accident investigation.
