Hua Hin
Huaxin (16)
My brother and the visiting Russian minister went deer hunting in Hua Hin. In the process of hunting deer, he accidentally discovered this quiet and beautiful fishing village, which is a fairyland on earth. Soon, Hua Hin became a haunt of the Thai royal family. Especially in 1920, Rama VI built the Royal Summer Palace "Luyuan" in Hua Hin, which triggered the royal nobles to build villas here. For a time, the coastal area of Hua Hin became the gathering place of super luxury houses and the first seaside resort in Thailand.
The tour guide told us that Hua Hin is the best place in Thailand because it is a royal resort and even foreign policemen have to unload their equipment when entering Hua Hin.
Two former Tai Huang palaces.
On the way from Bangkok to Hua Hin, we visited two former palaces in Tai Huang. The first is the Cowan Palace of Rama IV, the emperor played by China movie star Chow Yun Fat in the famous Hollywood movie Anna and the King. Legend has it that he loved the delicate flavor of Wang Kaoshan, so in 1860, he ordered people to build the first Summer Palace in Thai history on the top of the mountain. The architecture of the whole palace is unique because of the combination of Thailand and Thailand. The most attractive places for tourists are the Friendship Temple, where the royal family worships Buddha, and the white stupa standing in the center of the palace. We went up in a small cable car and saw many monkeys along the way. The staff said that these monkeys are not afraid of strangers, but don't tease them. If they are annoyed, they will attack people.
The other is/kloc-0. In 924, Rama VI carefully designed the mrigadayavan Palace, so that his concubines could give birth to a little prince for him. It is called "the palace of love and hope" in history. The palace is made of exquisite building materials, elegant and generous, with colonial style. Its biggest feature is 1080 teak-supported 16 wooden high-legged palace, which can prevent the ground from getting wet and make the living environment dry. At the bottom of the supporting wall, dig a thin slot to inject water, so that ants and other insects can't climb up, which affects daily life. The houses in the palace are connected by a long corridor, extending from the land to the sea. At the end of the corridor, a viewing lounge with excellent view was designed. After the completion of the palace, Rama VI and his concubines lived here only twice until his death in 1925.
The oldest and most famous railway station
You can go to Hua Hin by bus, train or even plane, but the most attractive thing is to take the train, because the railway station there is the oldest, most famous and most beautiful in Thailand. The railway station was built in Rama VI period and has a unique Thai royal waiting room. Speaking of this waiting room, Rama VI moved from Sanam Chan Palace in Komba while waiting for the bus to leave Hua Hin and return to Bangkok. Now Tai Huang has come to Hua Hin by bus instead of train, and the waiting room of the royal family is empty. Seeing European tourists sitting or standing in the waiting room of civilians not far away in twos and threes feels unreal, thinking that they are shooting Hollywood movies on location.
If Rama VI Railway Station makes Hua Hin stand out from many small fishing villages, then Rama VII Summer Palace makes Hua Hin "fly to the branches and become a phoenix". To this day, the royal family still stays in this palace for a short time every year. When we went, the current King Rama IX was in the palace. We looked at the palace wrapped in green trees through the glass window of the bus. Although we can't see the king, we are still very excited.
Luxury activities golf and spa
White beach, clear sea water, quiet atmosphere ... We finally arrived at this elegant beach, and our mood became very relaxed. The beach is the earliest place where the sun rises in Hua Hin. The 5-kilometer-long beach is covered with hotels, including bungalows and five-star hotels. Miraculously, behind every five-star hotel is a beach, giving people the illusion that this is a private beach. Listening to the waves at night and watching the purest sunrise in the morning are extremely luxurious enjoyment.
Hua Hin also has two other more luxurious activities: golf and spa. There are many golf courses in Huaxin, which are also very beautiful. Unexpectedly, the rental fee is very cheap, as high as several hundred yuan per game. Hua Hin's SPA is even more famous overseas. It is said that Maggie Cheung and Michael Jackson are both hot spring fans here.
Perhaps because of the habit of shopping, most of the white tourists we met in Hua Hin Street sat in the pub on the street wearing slippers, talking and laughing, or bargaining with vendors in the night market, which was very harmonious and comfortable.
Riding on the beach costs five dollars.
If you don't ride to Hua Hin Beach and walk back and forth along the beach, you will lose a lot of fun. Riding and walking along the beach is one of Hua Hin's most famous activities. While other beaches in Thailand only provide activities that seriously stimulate kidney hormones, such as bizarre adult programs, Hua Hin has always maintained its calmness and elegance. But riding a horse is a bit expensive, it costs 5 dollars. If it's too expensive, you can ride a bike. Almost every small shop on the beach provides bicycle rental service.
There is a panoramic view of the food on the top of the mountain.
Chopsticks Mountain is a coastal hill about 2 kilometers south of Hua Hin City. There are many wild monkeys on the mountain. We had dinner at the restaurant on the top of Chopsticks Mountain. The bus we took had to get off at the foot of the mountain, and the hotel sent a van down to meet people. The mountain is not high, and we soon reached the top. The hotel is generally decorated, and the dishes have not left a deep impression on me, but the scenery is first-class. We sat in the open-air seats, and if we leaned a little closer, we could have a panoramic view of Hua Hin and Siam Bay, and we didn't know how many movies had been murdered.
The night market with lights has everything.
The most colorful place in Hua Hin is the brightly lit night market. Although it is far less than the night market in Bangkok in scale, it is unique. There are all kinds of products in the night market, such as food, drink, clothes and useful. Here you can taste the most authentic food in Huaxin. Thai handicrafts, personalized T-shirts, coconut ice cream and all kinds of freshly baked seafood are the best choices for tourists. Bargaining is still necessary, and it is more reasonable to clinch a deal at a price of about 2/3.
A Thai colleague took us to an ice cream stall, only to find that several tables behind the stall were full of people. He said that every time he came to Hua Hin, he would help the ice cream stand. The ice cream here is served in a beautiful long plate, and an ice cream ball of his own taste is added with two ingredients, including coconut, raisins and shredded green papaya. Try it, it's really delicious, and the price is not expensive, only 25 baht per dish.
