The story of agricultural entrepreneurship: raising black hydra larvae to treat kitchen garbage

Failure is like honey collected by bees every time, which has been accumulated and will brew into success, so that you can taste the sweetness of success. Share successful entrepreneurial stories below.

Kitchen waste, also known as kitchen waste (commonly known as swill), is the general name of leftovers, table garbage and kitchen leftovers, and its sources are mainly restaurants, canteens, street food stalls and other places. All kinds of organic substances contained in it are easy to corrode and pollute in summer, especially pigs fed with kitchen garbage and refined hogwash oil, which will seriously endanger people's health once they flow to the market. At present, a large amount of catering waste has become one of the main sources of urban pollution, and how to treat it scientifically and harmlessly has become a difficult problem that puzzles urban management and construction.

At Wang Zepu Family Farm in Cao Xian County, Shandong Province, an innovative experiment attracted people's attention: treating kitchen waste with black hydrangea larvae is not only environmentally friendly, but also has an amazing output value.

"This is a kind of resource insects, called hydra, commonly known as hydra. Hydrozoa nigricans is a saprophytic insect of Hydrozoa of Diptera. Its growth and development can be divided into egg stage, larval stage, pupal stage and adult stage. Larvae feed on decaying organic matter and animal feces in nature; Adults are like flies, but they are bigger than flies. Their life span generally does not exceed 10 days. They feed on nectar and dew, and the average number of eggs laid is about 1000. Larvae likes to eat scavengers, and livestock manure and swill are its delicacies. With a little treatment, swill can be used as feed for black water salamander larvae. Moreover, black water salamander larvae are not sensitive to chemical additives such as salt, condiments and food toxins, and especially like greasy food. " Liu Jie, the head of the farm, never stopped talking about black hydrangea.

"There is a set of data that can show the large food intake and the efficiency of treating swill: the larvae enter a large feeding stage from the third age, and can eat for 24 hours when the food is sufficient, and the feeding efficiency is very high. The 4th instar larvae saturated with 1 m3 can treat about 800 kg (70% water content) of kitchen waste in 24 hours under suitable environment. It is especially effective for treating common organic garbage such as dead fish, rotten fruit, pig manure and leftovers. " Liu Jie said again.

How does the larva of black hydrangea make swill turn waste into treasure? Liu Jie told the author that the liquid swill can't be directly fed to the larvae, and the water should be filtered first, and the remaining solid matter can be fed. In addition, the nutritional value of black hydra larvae is also extremely high. The dried black hydra larvae contain 45% crude protein and 36% fat, as well as amino acids and fatty acids, which are superior to ordinary soybean meal and bone meal. It can be processed into insect dry powder to replace fish meal and become high-quality aquatic feed. Larvae of black hydrangea can also be directly used as feed for economic animals such as chickens and fish. Because its larvae can survive in water, it is a rare live bait for aquaculture.

According to Liu Jie, at present, a company in Tianjin has reached a cooperation intention with it, and purchased the dried Hydra larvae at the price of per ton 12 800 yuan. According to the preliminary experiment, 1 kg kitchen waste can support 500 g hydra larvae, 1500 g larvae can be roasted 1000 g dry worms.

Liu Jie is a legend in Cao County, Shandong Province, and his early entrepreneurial experience is widely respected by local villagers. In 2000, he founded the China Insect Network. In 2008, he learned from the Internet that South Korea's breeding of black-fingered water flies was very successful in garbage disposal, so he tried his best to hire experts specializing in black-fingered water flies breeding from the Korean Academy of Sciences and set up the first domestic application research institute of black-fingered water flies in Zhengzhou, Henan. However, the "black" brought from South Korea is that the water-inrush flies don't lay eggs, and they have been tossing for nearly two years. Korean experts gave up their research and returned to China, and more than 300,000 yuan of investment went to Shui Piao. Unwilling to fail, Liu Jie began to explore the breeding technology of black hydrangea. In 20 13, by chance, he collected a small insect similar to the black-fingered water bug in a dairy farm. Later, it was confirmed by experts that this scale is called the scale of water bursting, which is widely distributed in China. It turns out that the black-fingered water-inrush tabanus and the Chinese tabanus are close relatives, but their habits are quite different. No wonder they are not acclimatized.

Liu Jie began to breed a large number of Hydra nigricans on his family farm, and tried to treat kitchen waste, chicken manure, pig manure and rabbit manure with Hydra nigricans larvae, and obtained first-hand detailed and reliable information. At present, Liu Jie has begun to expand the scale of black hydrangea breeding, and at the same time actively promoted the eco-friendly garbage disposal station project he designed and studied.

"Shandong Province has just promulgated the Measures for the Management of Kitchen Wastes, which clearly stipulates the generation, collection, transportation, disposal, supervision and management of kitchen wastes in the province, and points out that the management of kitchen wastes should be included in the rating conditions of catering enterprises. According to the statistical data of 20 12 of environmental sanitation department of Heze Municipal Public Bureau, the daily output of kitchen waste in four districts of Heze City is 180 tons, and tens of thousands of tons of swill waste are generated every year. At present, the state has invested in the construction of a county-level kitchen waste treatment plant, which is about 4.5 million yuan. If we prepare a place with the same scale, dedicated to the treatment of food waste by black hydrangea larvae, the investment is only 300 thousand, and the benefits are similar. It can be seen that the market potential of black hydrangea in garbage disposal is huge. In addition, black hydrangea also has the characteristics of fast growth, strong reproduction and regeneration ability and high food conversion rate. If it can be cultivated on a large scale, the prospects are very broad. " When he said this, Liu Jie looked confident.

It is worth mentioning that China is the largest importer of feed additive fishmeal. In 20 13 years, the demand for fish meal in China was about 2.6 million tons, and the domestic fish meal production was far from meeting the demand, so it was necessary to import about10.3 million tons from abroad every year. At present, Liu Jie has sent its oil and other insects of Hydra nigricans to the authoritative organization designated by the Ministry of Agriculture for testing. If the fish meal can be replaced by the black hydra product after testing, it means that 65.438+0.3 million tons of black hydra products can be provided to the domestic fish meal market every year, with an output value of 65.438+0.00 billion yuan.
