1. Project overview

4. Process principle and advantages of loading flocculation magnetic separation (BFMS for short)
BFMS technology is to add magnetic powder to the traditional flocculation process to enhance the flocculation effect, form high-density flocs and increase the specific gravity of flocs, so as to achieve the purpose of efficient decontamination and rapid sedimentation. The ionic polarity and metal characteristics of magnetic powder, as the core of floc, greatly strengthen the flocculation binding ability of suspended pollutants in water, reduce the dosage of flocculant, and have better effect in removing suspended substances, especially phosphorus, bacteria, viruses, oil and heavy metals than traditional processes. Because the specific gravity of magnetic powder is as high as 5.1×11? kg/m? , which is about twice that of sand. The specific gravity of floc mixed with magnetic powder increases, and the floc quickly settles, with a speed of more than 21 meters per hour. The whole water treatment can be completed from water inlet to water outlet in about 11 minutes. The magnetic powder in sludge is separated by magnetic drum according to its own characteristics, and then recovered and recycled in the system. The high gradient magnetic filter captures the residual fine particles flowing through the water, and the magnetic filter is automatically cleaned according to the set requirements to achieve the purpose of highly purifying the effluent. According to the report that BFMS is used for advanced water treatment in the United States, the magnetic filter can remove 26 nm bacteria. this process was rarely used in engineering before. The reason is that the recovery technology of magnetic seeds has not been well solved, but now this technical difficulty has been successfully broken through, and the recovery rate of magnetic seeds has reached more than 99%. This technology has also been demonstrated and run in commercial projects in the United States. Our company has applied for a number of patents in China, forming the company's independent intellectual property rights. In the past three years, our company has successfully conducted a number of tests with different operating parameters in urban sewage treatment, reclaimed water reuse, surface water and groundwater treatment, tap water treatment, river water treatment, lake water treatment, high phosphorus wastewater treatment, paper-making wastewater treatment, mining wastewater treatment, oil refining and oilfield wastewater treatment, and achieved good results; The trial run with a capacity of 11111 tons/day has been put into operation for one month in May 2117 in the municipal sewage at the mouth of Licun River in Qingdao, and it runs well. The effluent from Beijing Jinyuan Economic Development Sewage Treatment Plant was deeply treated for removing high phosphorus for more than a month, and the treatment effect was good. As an emergency urban sewage treatment project for the Olympic Games, 6 sets of BFMS systems with a capacity of 4×11111 tons/day and 2×5111 tons/day were installed in Beijing Qinghe Sewage Plant, and the comprehensive treatment effect was good. This technology has been used in the first phase project of Dongying Shengli Oilfield (5111 tons/day) to treat oil production wastewater in Shengli Oilfield, and the 511 tons/day groundwater BFMS project and the 31111 tons/day oil production water BFMS project are also being implemented.
Compared with other processes, magnetic separation technology has the following advantages:
1) BFMS process can be applied to primary, secondary and tertiary municipal sewage, reclaimed water, various industrial sewage and drinking water.
2) The treatment effect is good, and the effluent quality is comparable to that of ultrafiltration membrane. BFMS process can effectively remove particulate pollutants, microbial pollutants and some pollutants that have been dissolved in water, such as COD, BOD, suspended solids, total phosphorus, chromaticity and turbidity, especially for phosphorus. It can also be combined with biological process to remove nitrogen very effectively and economically.
3) Strong impact load resistance and unique impact resistance to water quality. When the previous process goes wrong, or other harmful metal ions enter the sewage treatment system, the sewage can directly enter the magnetic separation system, and the system can still maintain a high removal effect and greatly remove pollutants in the water.
4) The floor space is extremely small. The floor space of the 21,111t/d BFMS system is about 411㎡, and the total floor space of the walkway, dosing and operation facilities is about 711㎡.
5) The investment is low, which has obvious advantages over membrane treatment.
6) The operation cost is low, and the service life of the equipment is long. Besides normal maintenance, there is no need to replace parts, resulting in high secondary investment.

5. Suggestions on process design of sewage treatment plant
According to the operation experience of the project, it is necessary to remove floating objects and mud and sand from the sewage to ensure the continuous operation of the sewage treatment plant, and it is necessary to pretreat the sewage entering the BFMS system. According to the working principle of BFMS system, conventional pretreatment is enough, that is, coarse and fine grids and sedimentation tanks. Sewage crushing pump can also be considered for pretreatment.
BFMS technology has a strong ability to remove phosphorus and suspended solids, and also has a strong ability to remove other indicators (except nitrogen). For the treatment of municipal sewage, it is suggested that the subsequent biochemical processes (such as BAF, SBR, A/O, etc.) should be designed only according to the ammonia nitrogen load, and the remaining CODcr and BOD5 can meet the discharge requirements by adjusting the dosage of BFMS system. Because biochemical nitrogen removal requires necessary carbon source, if the removal rate of BFMS system is too high, it will lead to insufficient carbon source in biochemical system, slow growth of microorganisms and poor nitrogen removal capacity. Therefore, it is suggested to lay a standby pipeline system for sludge storage tank and use the returned sludge as a standby carbon source.
6. Process flow
Considering the water quality characteristics of municipal sewage, combined with the technological advantages of BFMS technology, and considering the investment and operation effect comprehensively, it is suggested that the process flow of sewage treatment plant is as follows:

7. BFMS system design
1) There are ***2 sets of BFMS systems, and each set has a treatment capacity of 1111 tons/day.

(1)BFMS systems are recommended to be placed indoors, with equipment space of L31×W21×H11 and light steel structure.
(2) It is suggested that the sludge storage tank and sludge concentration and dehydration machine should be used directly to treat the excess sludge discharged from BFMS system instead of the concentration tank. During normal operation, the moisture content of sludge discharged by BFMS system is 98-99%.
(3) the supporting voltage is 381V, the installed capacity of each BFMS system is 61KW (excluding the water inlet pump), and the operating load is 41KW. The total installed capacity is 122KW and the total operating load is 81KW.
(4) There are 1 operators in each shift of each set of BFMS system, and 4 shifts and 3 shifts are running, all of which shall be trained on their posts.
(5) Sludge output: 1.4kgGS/m? Wastewater.
8. Water treatment cost of BFMS system
