Shijiazhuang Vocational College of Foreign Language and Translation is a provincial-level institution of higher learning approved by the People's Government of Hebei Province and put on record by the Ministry of Education according to the Standards for the Establishment of Higher Vocational Schools (Provisional). It is the only institution of higher learning in Hebei Province and the second one in the north of the Yellow River with the aim of training foreign language translators at all levels. It has the qualification to independently issue diplomas from national institutions of higher learning. The College is located at No.29, Huifeng West Road, Hongqi South Street, Shijiazhuang City. It is adjacent to 12 universities such as Hebei Normal University and Hebei University of Economics and Business. In order to make our college become a famous foreign language translation college in China at an early date, the main leaders of the Provincial Department of Education put forward the theory of "Three Targets" on the specialty setting of "foreign translation", that is, setting up majors for the market, setting up majors for industries, setting up majors for occupations, setting up multiple majors and enrolling students on a small scale, ensuring the situation that the demand exceeds the supply with small-scale enrollment.
