The Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau and the Municipal Market Supervision Committee * * * jointly promulgated the "Tianjin Catering Industry Soot Emission Standard", which will be officially implemented on 1 October 2117. This is the first local standard for cooking fume emission in catering industry.
This standard clearly stipulates the relevant requirements for the control, monitoring, implementation and supervision of catering fume in this city, adjusts the maximum allowable emission concentration limit of catering service units from 2.1mg/m3 (national standard) to 1.1mg/m3, and adds requirements such as "the catering fume purification facilities should operate synchronously with the exhaust fan". This standard is mainly applicable to the design, environmental impact assessment, environmental protection acceptance after completion and the management of catering fume emission during operation of catering service units in this city, and is not applicable to the catering fume emission of households.
cooking fume is one of the sources of fine particulate matter PM2.5 and VOCs, and it is an important factor affecting air quality. It is estimated that after the implementation of the standard, the city can reduce the emission of oil fume pollutants by about 272 tons per year, and reduce the emission of VOCs to a certain extent, which plays a positive role in the prevention and control of ozone pollution.
According to reports, the "Tianjin Catering Industry Soot Emission Standard" is supervised and implemented by the municipal environmental protection administrative departments at all levels. When the environmental protection departments at all levels conduct supervisory inspections, the monitoring results of on-site instant sampling can be used as the basis for judging whether the sewage discharge behavior meets the emission standard. If air pollutants are discharged beyond the emission standards, they will be punished according to relevant laws and regulations.
