Nanjing dialect, also known as Nanjing Mandarin, refers to the national pronunciation which was once the official language of China and took Nanjing pronunciation as the standard. Modern Nanjing dialect is mainly used in six districts of Nanjing city, Pukou District, Liuhe District, Jiangning District, northern Lishui District, the whole territory of jurong city, Xixiang of Yizheng City, most parts of Chuzhou City, Lai 'an County, Quanjiao County, Maanshan City and a few parts of Wuhu City, with about160,000 users.
