Updating a driver's license generally involves three steps, as follows:
1. Bring my ID card and photocopy, original driver's license, photos and medical certificate;
2. Submit an application for replacement to the traffic police brigade;
3. The driver of a motor vehicle shall, within 90 days before the expiration of the motor vehicle driver's license, apply to the vehicle management office where the motor vehicle driver's license is issued.
The following certificates and vouchers need to be submitted:
1, the identity certificate of the motor vehicle driver;
2. Motor vehicle driver's license;
3. Physical condition certificate issued by medical institutions at or above the county level or regimental medical institutions.
4. Apply for a small automatic passenger car for the disabled and submit a physical condition certificate.
Conditions for applying for a motor vehicle driver's license:
1. Those who apply for small cars, small automatic cars, small automatic passenger cars for the disabled and mopeds are over 18 years old;
2. Those who apply for low-speed trucks, tricycles, ordinary tricycles, ordinary two-wheeled motorcycles or wheeled special mechanical vehicles are over 18 and under 60;
3. Those who apply for city buses, medium-sized buses, large trucks, light tractors, trolleybuses or trams are over 20 years old and under 60 years old;
4. Those who apply for the quasi-driving model of large passenger cars and heavy-duty towed trailers are over 22 years old and under 60 years old;
5. Students who receive full-time driving vocational education and apply for the quasi-driving type of large buses and heavy-duty towed trailers are over 19 and under 60.
6. Although there is no upper age limit for small cars and small automatic cars to apply for driver's licenses, people over 70 years old must pass tests such as memory, judgment and responsiveness before they can apply.
To sum up, the driver's license applied for 1 time is valid for 6 years. Once it expires, the driver should apply for a replacement at the vehicle management office 90 days in advance. After the driver's license expires, you can apply for renewal on the basis of no more than 1 year. Cancellation for more than 2 years, need to re-apply.

Motor vehicle drivers shall, within 90 days before the expiration of the motor vehicle driver's license, apply to the motor vehicle management office at or outside the place where the motor vehicle driver's license is issued. An application form shall be filled in when applying, and the following documents and vouchers shall be submitted:
(a) the identity certificate of the motor vehicle driver;
(2) Motor vehicle driving license;
(3) A certificate of physical condition issued by a medical institution at or above the county level or at the regiment level. To apply for a small automatic passenger car for the disabled, a physical condition certificate issued by a specialized medical institution designated by the Provincial Health Department shall be submitted.
