Since its establishment in 2006, the Department of Applied Psychology, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, has made great efforts to create characteristic disciplines and applied majors that meet the direction of running a school, meet the development needs of the service industry, and have development prospects. Over the past few years, based on the strategy of fostering strengths and avoiding weaknesses, dislocation competition and sustainable development, we have highlighted the key points of discipline construction, condensed research synergy and intensified construction, and gradually formed a distinctive discipline advantage, a reasonable teacher structure and a relatively complete system of psychological personnel training, scientific research and social service.
First, the academic team
At present, a team of teachers led by experts and with reasonable age and education echelon has been initially established.
The Department of Applied Psychology has 1 1 full-time teachers. Among them, there are 3 professors, 3 associate professors and 5 lecturers, 55% of whom have senior titles; Seven people received doctoral degrees, accounting for 64% of them; There are 7 people aged 25-40, 4 people aged 40-50, and 64% are under 40. There are 10 full-time and part-time graduate tutors.
Professor Jin Hongzhang is the leader of the Department of Applied Psychology. Professor Jin Hongzhang is currently the deputy director of the College Students' Psychological Counseling Committee of China Mental Health Association, the deputy director of the Hypnotic Psychology Committee of the International Association of Traditional and Modern Sleep Medicine, the director of the National Professional Qualification Appraisal Expert Committee of Psychological Counselors in Heilongjiang Province, the secretary-general of the College Students' Psychological Counseling Committee in Heilongjiang Province, and the director of the Teacher Training Base of Mental Health Education in Heilongjiang Province. The main research direction is psychological counseling and mental health education, especially good at hypnotic psychotherapy and psychological crisis intervention.
In order to strengthen the teaching staff, Dr. Zhong Sijia from Taiwan Province University of Political Science is invited as our professor. Mr. Zhong Sijia is a doctoral student at the University of Oregon, a member of the 36th Taiwan Province Provincial Psychological Counseling Society, a professor at Taiwan Province Political University, and a well-known senior psychological counseling expert at home and abroad. In addition, our school has hired many well-known psychological experts and scholars at home and abroad as part-time professors and visiting professors.
Second, the research direction and achievements
During the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, the main research direction of our department is "occupational psychology", including three research fields: occupational health psychology, psychological counseling and mental health education, and ideological and political education psychology. At present, in the research field of occupational health psychology, the job burnout of enterprise employees and the psychological pressure of submarine crew are explored. In the research field of psychological counseling and mental health education, a series of research achievements such as China's life wisdom, the localization of psychological counseling theory and method, the curriculum and teaching of mental health education, and the theoretical innovation of mental health education have been formed. In the field of psychological research of ideological and political education, the author has made a unique study on the acceptance psychology of ideological and political education and the effective combination of psychological education and moral education.
In recent years, teachers of applied psychology department have undertaken nearly 30 national, provincial and university-level scientific research projects, published 20 books and textbooks and published 50 academic papers. It has formed a stable research direction and serialized research results.
Third, cultivate students.
The Department of Applied Psychology began to recruit graduate students in 2007, and now it has formed a relatively complete curriculum system for graduate students of applied psychology, focusing on the cultivation and training of graduate students' theoretical thinking and psychological practical skills. At the same time, relying on the doctoral program of ideological and political education in our school, recruit doctoral students in the direction of ideological and political education psychology; Relying on the sociology major of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, we recruit undergraduates majoring in sociology (psychology).

The Department of Psychology of the College of Humanities was established in July 2008, which is a professional psychological institution with teaching, scientific research and service as its development direction.
