#One of the most fulfilling things I've done at work#

Currently, I have not yet graduated, and I only have a six-month professional internship and a two-month part-time summer job.

Let's talk about my internship

As a Tourism Management student, I was required to have an internship related to my major at my school.

I'm a student of tourism management, but it's often said that tourism and hotels are not separate, so my internship is to go to a five-star hotel.

My position was as a Guest Service Agent in the all-day dining restaurant.

What is an all-day dining restaurant?

ALL DAY DINING refers to the kitchen in accordance with the international standards of five-star hotels, must be set up to provide food and beverage services all day long 24 hours of the restaurant (including room delivery service), at present, the domestic big cities have all-day dining.

I worked in this position for about three and a half months, I was transferred to become a restaurant cashier.

It was in this position that I did something that was very rewarding for me.

I remember that day I was in the restaurant to help customers clean up the table food debris.

Suddenly, the manager asked, "Do you want to learn how to cashier?"

I thought it would be good to learn more at the internship, so I said yes.

But I didn't realize that the reason I was asked to learn cashiering was because there was no cashier available two days later, so I was asked to learn and cover the shift.

I was very, very upset when I realized the reason.

Because the hotel cashier has a cashier system, and the price of each meal segment is different, and the payment method is also different.

For example, the store price for lunch is 200 (pay directly at the store, WeChat, Alipay, UnionPay card), but the hotel has a discounted price on the APP of Meituan, Ctrip, Koubei, etc., as long as 120. I believe that we should all have bought a coupon on the Meituan, and after the coupon is purchased, there will be a QR code. As a qualified cashier, to show the guests QR code in time to write off, usually a large number of people eating lunch, need to react within 1-2 seconds to which APP coupon and write off.

This is the beginning and just the tip of the iceberg, so I won't say much else.

It usually takes about two weeks to learn cashiering, but I was able to work independently in just two days and nothing happened, and that day went perfectly.

This event made me very, very accomplished!!!!
