Xuanwu Lake, located in Xuanwu District of Nanjing, is bordered by Zijin Mountain in the east, Ming City Wall in the west and Nanjing Station in the north. Xuanwu Lake is listed as one of the eight scenic spots for lotus viewing in China. Xuanwu Lake has a long history of planting lotus, which was famous all over the world in the Six Dynasties. In the calendar, the lake was full of lotus, and the boat could only row in the water with the lingering fibers in the lotus leaves. Xuanwu Honglian is Hua Dan, the master of Xuanwu Lake. Its color is slightly lighter than scarlet, which is charming and moving, and it is one of the most popular varieties for tourists.

In order for tourists to get close to Xuanwu Red Lotus, Xuanwu Lake has designed a painting boat, which is specially used to go deep into the lotus pond to enjoy the lotus and reproduce the beautiful scenery of lotus-leaves yield before a fisher-boat. Visitors can row in the dense lotus bushes.
