About AFC Champions League:

The AFC Champions League, also known as the Asian Champions League, or AFC Champions League or AFC Champions League for short, is an Asian club soccer tournament founded by the AFC in 2002, formerly known as the Asian Champions Clubs Championship and the Asian Club Championship.

The 47 AFC member associations are ranked according to the results of their clubs in Asian club competitions over the past four years (national team and representative team results are not counted).

The group stage of the AFC Champions League*** features 40 teams, which will be divided into 10 group stage matches, with five in each of East and West Asia. The matches will be played in a double round-robin format of home and away matches, with three points awarded to the winners of each match, one point for a draw, and zero points for the losers, with the 10 group winners and the six best-performing second-ranked groups advancing to the round of 16.
