On October 16, 2021, astronauts Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping, and Ye Guangfu entered the sky and the core module of the Shenzhou XIII manned spacecraft at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, and became the second batch of astronauts to "move in" to the Chinese space station.

During their stay in orbit, the three astronauts, with the support of scientific and technical personnel on the ground, successfully completed two out-of-cabin activities, two "Tiangong classroom" space teaching activities, and carried out a number of scientific and technological experiments and application projects. Wang Yaping became China's first female astronaut to carry out spaceflight activities.
