Peng Zu, whose surname is Qian Mingkeng, is an expert and practitioner who has made great contributions to longevity. Legend has it that Peng Zu lived from Yao to Shang, and was once a doctor of Shang Xian. Peng Zu is the most outstanding metaphysical master in Chinese history. He systematically studied the relationship between man and nature and the relationship between diet and health.
He was awarded the title of Da Peng for "making soup and offering Yao". It is also said that when he was 811 years old, he sometimes disappeared, so he was later called "Peng Zu". He was honored as "the ancestor of the kitchen line" because he pioneered the "pheasant soup" to cure Yaodi's anorexia.
Peng Zu's "the way of pheasant soup" has gradually developed into "the way of cooking", and pheasant soup is the earliest recorded name in Chinese classics, and is known as "the best soup in the world".
Therefore, Peng Zu is called the originator of the catering industry. It can be said that the food culture began with him.
