Let me show you the shopping and accommodation strategies, hoping to help you!
Generally, the discount season in Hong Kong starts from the first weekend in February, starting with a 31% discount, and the closer to Christmas, the more discounts.
Of course, hotels are usually difficult to book and rarely offer discounts at Christmas. Therefore, pure shopping in Hong Kong is to discount the cost of hotel+air ticket to show its value. This year, I participated in their air ticket and hotel special offer of 3,111 yuan at China Reservation Network. The hotel is not a star-hung hotel, but I heard that it is relatively clean and the service is good.
The following is a summary of some rules based on my wife and I's two experiences of sweeping goods in Hong Kong:
1. Generally, there is no discount for new products, even if there is a discount, there is only a 11% or 21% discount;
2。 There are many discounts on seasonal products, but they may not be available in downtown stores, especially in the first-line brand stores of first-line shopping malls such as Admiralty Taikoo, Causeway Bay SOGO and Times, Central Land, Tsim Sha Tsui Harbour City, etc., there are few discounts on seasonal products, so if you must, you have to keep an eye on the sellers and take them from the counter, and you may find them out. Generally, there are no samples.
3。 The high discount of out-of-season products is concentrated in element of Kowloon Station of Airport Express, and Festival Walk in Kowloon Tong is the outlet in Tung Chung. However, the shortage of outlets is more serious than the first two, and only oversized ones are left. It is estimated that Asians are relatively small, and it is difficult to find S and M sizes of clothes.
4。 The more luxury goods, the higher the price difference. In fact, how big is the price gap between Shanghai and Hong Kong? The key is to see what to buy. For example, first-line luxury goods, because there is a tariff difference, and the price tag is already large, coupled with the exchange rate factor, can make a lot of money difference. We saw a generous cashmere towel from Hermes this time, and the price tag of SOGO in Hong Kong is 7,911 Hong Kong dollars; Shanghai Henglong is not available yet. If it is available, it may cost about RMB 11,111, and the ticket money will be earned back at once.
5。 Cosmetics are not as cheap as I thought. I always thought that cosmetics in Hong Kong were much cheaper than those in China. After many comparisons, I found that the price difference of cosmetics available in Shanghai in places like Sasha is not big, even if there is a discount, it is not less than 2-311 yuan dollars, and some may only be a few dollars. And cosmetics are particularly heavy, so I think it is the most thankless business to go to Hong Kong and carry large bottles of cosmetics back to Shanghai. For example, L 'Occitane is more than 1,111 yuan cheaper, which is not interesting at all. Unless some cosmetics can't be bought in Shanghai, it makes a little sense to buy them in Hong Kong.
By the way, it's worthwhile to find a friend in Hong Kong to borrow a credit card to buy cosmetics. This time, we found that HSBC's credit card can buy 31% off new products and 51% off genuine products in many stores. Unfortunately, it is difficult for ordinary Shanghainese to get a credit card from Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, so they have to borrow it from their friends.
judging from the three-day route, my suggestions are as follows:
1. Be sure to run a one-day subway service in Hong Kong, so that you can save a lot of money, because most shopping centers are on subway stations. With a one-day subway service, you can enter and leave the Hong Kong subway indefinitely in 24 hours, sweeping goods point by point.
2。 We should first sweep the out-of-season discount stores in the periphery, then sweep the regular-priced new stores in the city center, and finally leave some time to fill in the blanks. The outlet in Tung Chung leaves the airport. If you don't have any luggage when you go to Hong Kong, you can go out of the airport to the outlet in Tung Chung and then take the airport express to the city. The Kowloon Station of the Airport Express has a free shuttle bus between several hotels in Kowloon, so you must take it. Try not to take a taxi. Taxis in Hong Kong are too expensive. You can run for HK$ 3,41 just for a few kilometers, and put one piece of luggage in the trunk, 5 yuan!
3。 On the first night, if you live in Kowloon, you can sweep the Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui first. However, Harbour City is so huge that it is known as the first in Asia, and there is no time for four hours. Therefore, it is suggested that when you arrive in Harbour City, you should first get a free shopping mall guide, only take the brand you want to see and ignore everything else. Many cosmetics are recommended to be seen in Harbour City. The brands are relatively complete, and the discount is a bit. Shops in Hong Kong close late at night, and Harbour City is open until 22 o'clock. After coming out, you can choose to go back to the hotel by bus or subway. Tsim Sha Tsui is a bus distribution center, and the route basically covers the whole of Kowloon.
If you live on Hong Kong Island, it is suggested that you sweep the business district next to the hotel first, and if you live in Causeway Bay, you should sweep SOGO or VOGUE first. Of course, Times Square is relatively large, and it is estimated that you can't sweep it in one night. If you live in Admiralty, you should sweep Taikoo Shing first, but it's all too top-notch. It's easier to regret if you sweep first. Those who live in central will sweep the land, IWC and so on;
if you live in other places, I suggest that you wash and sleep on the first night. You can get a price and a product, so the hotel will save money and waste time.
4。 The next day's trip can be expanded. People living in Kowloon can take the subway or ferry to Hong Kong Island to sweep the streets. Those who live on Hong Kong Island can scan in reverse. However, if you want to buy electronic products, if you are knowledgeable, you must take time to go to the electronic street in Yau Ma Tei to shop for goods. If you are a layman, you can honestly buy joint warranty licensed goods in Fengze, Broadway and even Gome, which are everywhere. Anyway, by comparison, the price advantage of electronic products in Hong Kong is becoming less and less obvious. Unless you want to buy some special models that can't be bought in Shanghai, it is also a thankless thing to go back to Shanghai, and it is particularly easy to exceed the standard, which is very inconvenient when you come back to customs.
5。 It is suggested to visit Festival Walk in Kowloon Tong, which is just above the subway station in Kowloon Tong. It is very big and there are not many people, which is somewhat similar to the district-level commercial center in Shanghai. There is the City University of Hong Kong next to it, with college students as the main consumers. Although the brand is not as complete as Taikoo's, there are many mid-range products and many discounts, and there are all new and out-of-season products. Most of our purchases this time were made in Festival Walk.
6。 On the last day, it is recommended to relax in the morning and have a rest in the hotel. At noon, when you arrive at Kowloon Station or Hong Kong Station of the Airport Express, although there is free luggage storage, you have to charge: HK$ 31 for three hours and HK$ 51 for more than three hours. Therefore, it is recommended to check your luggage and change your boarding pass. When you check your luggage, you must pack all the cosmetics you have bought. Now the security check is particularly strict, so it is best to pack and check all liquids.
after checking your luggage, you can visit element at Kowloon Station and IWC at Hong Kong Station. Element is a newly opened shopping mall this year, with fewer people and more things. It is estimated that in order to attract passengers, the discount is also high. IWC in Hong Kong Station occupies Central and is the tallest building in Hong Kong. Under the aura, the price of shopping will skyrocket. It doesn't matter if you buy cosmetics again. Anyway, when you arrive at the airport at night, you can go to the counter again to check in your new luggage.
7。 It is best to arrive at the airport 1 hours before the flight takes off. The journey of the airport express line is almost 45 minutes, plus the queuing time for security check and customs clearance, so try to leave the city 2 hours in advance. Even if you arrive at the airport early, it doesn't matter. The duty-free shops in Hong Kong airport can also be swept away. However, there are not many brands and products here, and there is basically no discount, which is obviously a knife for transit passengers. So basically, it's cheaper to buy some cigarettes and alcohol.
8。 Duty-free goods are also available on the plane, but remember that they are all settled in US dollars, and POS machines on the plane generally don't have UnionPay. If you swipe your credit card, you will have to bear the cost of exchange rate fluctuations, so when you buy it, you should calculate the price comparison between US dollars and RMB (these quotations are available on the plane)
In addition, there are some financial problems:
1. Hong Kong dollar cash does not accept 1111 yuan bills. Because there are real counterfeit banknotes, many merchants openly reject banknotes of 1,111 yuan and 511 yuan, so if you want to bring cash, you must not have banknotes of 1,111 yuan, preferably banknotes of 1,111 yuan or less. Always keep some change in your pocket, especially if you want to take a bus. It's the same virtue as unmanned ticketing in Shanghai.
2。 It is best to remind the cashier to brush the UnionPay line when swiping the credit card. Because most dual-currency credit cards in China are in US dollars and RMB, if you swipe a line other than UnionPay, you will encounter the problem of Hong Kong dollars against US dollars and US dollars against RMB again, and there will be exchange rate losses. Small money doesn't matter. If it's big, it's old and powerful.
3。 The best way is to get an EPS of a bank in Hong Kong, which is safe and convenient. It is very convenient to open an account in a bank in Hong Kong, as long as you have a passport, the public utility fee for the last month and a sum of money. However, all accounts in Hong Kong banks have a minimum deposit limit, and fees will be charged below a certain amount, so unless those who have overseas funds or often go to Hong Kong, ordinary tourists should honestly brush UnionPay.
they are all my own travel experiences, so I should look at them. The accurate information is still subject to the release of local authorities.
Hello, dear friends:
I have been a tour guide in Hong Kong, and I have also been a tour guide to Nai, Shangxiajiu Road in Guangzhou, Wangfu Town in Beijing, Nanjing Road in Shanghai, Wulin Square in Hangzhou, Tianfu Square in Chengdu, Bell and Drum Tower Square in the west, and Grand Bazaar in Urumqi .......
Since then.
I spent several hours writing this chapter. I hope I can help you!
Hong Kong has a special geographical environment, a large number of mountains, that is, a small amount of land, a large number of foreign and domestic tourists and the prevailing tourist atmosphere. International hotels or civilian hotels are very popular, and there are also leisure resorts, which can be chosen according to different consumer needs, equipment and environment. Among them, domestic tourists generally like to stay in hotels or guesthouses when they come to Hong Kong. Some of them book in travel agencies, some book online, and some come to the hotel front desk to book rooms (but it's too expensive! In fact, Hong Kong is short of land, so the supply of hotels, guesthouses and holiday hotels is tight, so we must book them. In addition, many tourists often compare domestic hotels with Hong Kong hotels when they come to Hong Kong. In recent years, more hotels have been built in China, while most hotels in Hong Kong are old, so four-star hotels in Hong Kong may not be as good as three-star hotels in China. Because Hong Kong is so small, most hotels and hotel rooms are relatively small, especially the hotel rooms are a little pitiful, about 5 to 8 square meters, and there is no room to put down the suitcase! On the contrary, there are fewer people staying in holiday hotels. Because holiday hotels are converted from private houses on small islands near urban areas, they cannot be booked by travel agencies in China and Hong Kong, or even found on the Internet.
Hotel-A hotel is located in a building dedicated for hotel use. There are about 211 hotels all over Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories. As Hong Kong is the dynamic capital of Asia, it is mainly a tourist transit point, a destination, a business center and a gateway to the mainland of China. Hong Kong often hosts large-scale and world-class conferences and exhibitions. Therefore, in the peak season and the peak period of conferences and exhibitions, hotels are in short supply and the prices are relatively high.
advantages: there are many places to choose, which is more suitable for business travelers and easy to book! Most of them are located in the urban areas, with many facilities, such as swimming pools, fitness centers, private banquet halls, restaurants and business centers.
Disadvantages: Hotel prices are relatively high, and facilities generally do not provide services after 9 pm. If tourists come to Hong Kong for the purpose of shopping and entertainment, these facilities can't be used even in name only. In addition, the Hong Kong government has also increased the service tax by 13%. This indirectly makes the originally high hotel more expensive.
price: hotels generally cost more than 511 yuan, which is a 3-star price! Four-star is about 811 to 1211 yuan! And five-star is about 1211 yuan to more than 2511 yuan! China Hotel Reservation, a star-rated hotel in Hong Kong, which also has budget hotels.
hotels-hotels are located in general multi-storey buildings. However, most hotels in Hong Kong are located in some old-fashioned multi-storey commercial and residential buildings in the city, and the rooms are relatively small. (There are new hotels these days, but they are hard to find.)
Advantages: It is located in the downtown area, with convenient transportation and relatively cheap price. It is good news for some people who want convenience but don't have high requirements for environmental equipment.
Disadvantages: the quality is very uneven, the management method is not perfect, and there are not detailed and clear pictures showing the room quality as hotels and resorts before booking. Because it is mostly located in some old buildings, the sanitation, environment and air are poor and there are no facilities. The room is also relatively small and narrow, which is more suitable for single people. And the general public security is also relatively poor, because most of the old buildings are engaged in pornography, sauna centers, mahjong halls and so on!
price: the hotel price is about 311 yuan!
Holiday Inn: Holiday Inn is a converted private house (a village house property owned by residents with a "holiday house" license) located on Xiaohai Island near the urban area. Mainly two to four-story cabins, each floor has two to three rooms, most of which are equipped with sea-view terraces. Generally, there are 2 people, 4 people, or even 6-8 people. There are many changes, and most of them are located by the sea. The environment is beautiful and quiet, so it is suitable for families, couples or a group of friends to live in.
Advantages: the ambient air is very good, generally close to the beach, which is convenient for swimming or water sports, and there are outdoor self-service barbecues, mahjong and other equipment, and even free wireless WiFi can provide broadband Internet access! There is a large room with many people, which is suitable for families and a bunch of friends to enjoy the happiness of the day wheel. Couples and newlyweds can even have a romantic time on the beach and count the stars. Because you have to take a ferry to get there (the ferry is a 24-hour service), you can feel the beauty of Wang Yang sea on the way.
Disadvantages: Generally, small islands located near urban areas need to take a ferry in Central, and the journey takes about 31 minutes. Toothpaste, toothbrush, towel, etc. are not provided, so you need to bring them yourself. The supply is limited, and young people in Hong Kong often book accommodation in holiday hotels (it is also one of Hong Kong's cultures, and my younger brother often went to play with a bunch of classmates when he was young), which leads to the frequent shortage of supply during holidays, peak seasons and weekends in Hong Kong.
price: about 211 to more than 811 yuan!
I hope this post I wrote will give you some gains, and help me with one after reading it!
