In fact, both Daoxiang Village in Beijing and Daoxiang Village in Suzhou are century-old shops. Its business is all southern cakes represented by Soviet cakes. In the late Qing Dynasty, there were many food stores with the name Daoxiang Village in China, but on the question of who has a long history, Suzhou Daoxiang Village was the originator of Daoxiang Village.

Daoxiang Village in Suzhou started in 1773 and Daoxiang Village in Beijing started in 1895. In the trial of Suzhou Daoxiang Village v. Trademark Committee and Beijing Daoxiang Village as the third party, Beijing Daoxiang Village also admitted that its history is not as long as Suzhou Daoxiang Village.

after the founding of the people's Republic of China, with the public-private partnership, both Daoxiang villages became state-owned or collective enterprises. Finally, with the arrival of the Cultural Revolution, both of them went out of business. After the reform and opening up, in order to inherit the history and meet the people's growing material and cultural needs, both of them resumed their business. In 1981, Suzhou Daoxiang Village Food Factory was established; 1984 Beijing Daoxiang Village Food Company was established. Both sides are doing well in their respective territories.
