The price increase of Arowana Group's products

After Lu Hua peanut oil took the lead in raising the price, the edible oil enterprises that had been asked by the state to limit the price finally started the price increase plan. On August 3, 2111, Yihai Kerry, the parent company of Arowana, said that some edible oils of the company were officially raised by about 5%.

the price of three kinds of oil is raised

the agent of arowana said that the edible blended oil (5L) of arowana has increased by 14 yuan per case since August 1, and the 3.5 yuan per barrel has been raised by 5.86%, and the current price is 63.25 yuan/barrel.

the relevant person in charge of the company said that the prices of soybean oil, vegetable oil and blended oil under Yihai Kerry will be raised by 5%, while other oils will remain unchanged. "This price increase has been approved by the National Development and Reform Commission", and the person in charge also said that it is expected that the retail price adjustment of sales terminals will take about two weeks to reflect.

Due to the huge cost pressure

It is understood that in October last year, the National Development and Reform Commission required COFCO, Yihai Kerry, China Textile Group and Jiusan Cereals and Oils Group to ensure stable oil prices before the end of March this year. In April, Arowana and Fulinmen, which were under the pressure of raw material cost, received suggestions from the National Development and Reform Commission, hoping to suspend the price increase again before the end of June.

In early July, Lu Hua took the lead in raising prices, but at that time, it was reported that the price limit order might be postponed again until August 5, and this news also made Lu Hua's price increase questioned; However, in mid-July, it was reported that the relevant person in charge of the price department of the National Development and Reform Commission responded that the previous ban on the price limit of edible oil had indeed been lifted.

Arowana also said at that time, "Up to now, the cost and sales price are still upside down. It is hard to say whether the price will be raised this year."

It's only been a month now, and Arowana has started to raise prices. The relevant person in charge of the company said that since October last year, due to the sharp increase in raw material costs, the price has been upside down to this day, with the upside-down price as high as 1,111 yuan/ton, and the logistics, oil bottles and other materials have also increased greatly. However, the company has always assumed social responsibilities and ensured the supply at a stable price.

The supermarket received an oral notice

Mr. Song, the person in charge of COFCO Food Marketing Co., Ltd., denied submitting the application for price increase, but said that the current sales price and cost of the company have been upside down. Based on this, the company is currently conducting various evaluations and discussions to decide whether to raise the price and the extent of the price increase, but so far, there is no formal result.

Although some large supermarkets in Beijing haven't received formal price increase notices from arowana, they have already given oral price increase notices in private.

Media reports:

People's Daily Online, May 14 (Reporter Zhao Enze) Waste cooking oil, a cancer of food safety, has gradually disappeared in the special crackdown in recent years. Now, have we really got rid of the threat of gutter oil? Has the black production chain of gutter oil really been cut off? People's Daily reporter made an unannounced visit for more than a month, and found that in the Gyeonggi area, a waste oil production chain is still operating secretly and efficiently. And the terminal of this chain may enter the dining table of thousands of households with the face of brand edible oil. More truth needs to be revealed.

(1) battle for "raw materials": kitchen waste is out of supervision, and "guerrillas" get space

In March p>2114, at 23: 31 in the middle of the night, a "Ji P" white van roared and stopped at the west gate of Communication University of China. About 5 minutes later, a middle-aged man dressed in black leather and blue gloves got off the bus and walked into a Sichuan restaurant named "Little Sichuan" on the west side of the school gate.

six minutes later, the man in leather took two white buckets and walked out quickly, pouring the contents of the buckets into the black vats in the carriage, and so on twice.

The reporter talked to him on the grounds of running a restaurant.

"Do hotels collect garbage?" The reporter asked.

"We only pull swill, not garbage." The leather man is a little alert.

"what price?"

"It depends on how many things you have. For example, I gave you 111 yuan a month for that small shop just now."

In p>2119, the Administrative Measures for the Collection, Transportation and Disposal of Kitchen Wastes in Beijing was promulgated, and it was determined that "the producers of kitchen wastes have the responsibility for transportation and disposal". Accordingly, in 2112, Beijing decided to levy a treatment fee on "non-resident kitchen waste", and the price was set at 25 yuan per ton, which was raised to RMB 111 per ton in 2114. In the same year, Beijing Municipal Appearance Committee and other departments required catering enterprises to sign service contracts with sanitation centers and franchised enterprises and pay the fees according to the latest standards.

"The regular army collects garbage for money, while the guerrillas collect garbage for money." Some restaurant owners and chefs who are not strictly supervised choose to sell swill to the guerrillas. In the battle for kitchen waste, the cost of "regular army" is too high, and it is difficult to show its advantages in front of low-cost "guerrillas".

(2) Primary processing of "gutter oil": Pig farmers in the suburbs of Beijing refine gutter oil, and a huge amount of kitchen waste (swill) collected by "guerrillas" has gone. The reporter explored in many ways and contacted some insiders, and immediately launched investigations in Daxing, Fangshan, Tongzhou and Langfang, Hebei.

About 11 pig farmers gather here near Foman Village, Fangshan District, 48 kilometers southwest of dingfuzhuang, Beijing. The whole area is the size of two football fields, with various kinds of garbage piled up outside, and the air is full of stench, which makes people confused.

Near the pigsty, a middle-aged woman is lighting a fire in front of the cauldron. Seeing a stranger coming, she quickly stepped forward to block the cauldron. "What for?"

"How much is the oil?" The reporter asked.

"581 yuan a barrel, call to collect it."

The reporter found that red and yellow viscous liquid was boiled in the cauldron, and there was a black oil drum beside it, with reddish-brown oil overflowing.

In another pig farm p>31 meters away, smoke comes out from time to time. There is aogan swill in a tin box, and leaves float in the bucket on the left. A man in black came and the reporter pointed to the oil drum and asked him "What's the price in hogwash fat". The man's face suddenly changed, and he ran out and shouted, "Come out! Someone! Come out quickly! " . The reporter immediately excused himself and left.

five months ago, a media in Beijing exposed this workshop area. However, at present, this workshop area is still in operation.

According to insiders, there are many refining points of waste oil in the suburbs of Beijing, which are widely distributed. There are also many refining points that come to Beijing to collect swill in Langfang City, Hebei Province near Daxing District.

61km southeast of Foman Village, a group of people are also busy in the workshops in the pig farm in Houwanggezhuang Village, Guangyang District, Langfang City. Their business is better than that of their counterparts in Beijing.

"We have more than 611 barrels, and several families have enough barrels to call someone to collect them." A worker who is "refining" introduced.

"How much is a barrel of oil?"

"almost 411 Jin."

"where to send it?"

"I don't know, there's no need to ask."

for small workshops, it is not cost-effective to simply "refine oil". "You need to have some pigs or cows, so as to reduce the cost." Most of the workshop owners are part-time pig farmers. "The refined oil is for people to eat, and the rest of the residue is for pigs to eat, which makes money for oil and saves money for feed."

"If you spend one raw material, you get two gains, so you share the cost."

"In the past two years, the price of feed has gone up, but the price of live pigs has dropped a lot". Mr. Wang is a businessman who is active in Daxing area. He told reporters that the decline in income has become one of the reasons why some pig farmers refine waste oil.

according to the data of live pig trading, the average purchase price of live pigs in Beijing in March 2112 was about 16 yuan/kg, and the purchase price on February 28, 2114 was 12 yuan/kg. Under the background of rising prices, the 25% drop in the purchase price of live pigs has made some individual pig farmers feel pressure, and refining hogwash fat has become a way for them to reduce costs and increase profits.

"Most individual pig farmers in the suburbs of Beijing refine waste oil." Because of business reasons, Mr. Wang kept in touch with pig farmers for a long time. He revealed that some pig farmers in the early days would bring swill from restaurants to feed their pigs in order to reduce feed costs. Later, some pig farmers found that the swill can not only be used as feed, but also be used to refine waste oil and earn a sum of money.

"There is basically no technical threshold for refining primary waste oil, and as long as you refine it, there will be a special person to collect it." Mr. Wang said, "The people who collect oil are all in a circle. In the early days, Sichuan people were doing it."

"These pig farmers earn a little money, and those who collect oil make more money."

The reporter investigated nearly 21 cooking oil refining sites in Daxing, Fangshan, Tongzhou and Langfang, Hebei. It is understood that the current market price of a barrel of primary cooking oil is around that of 611 yuan. A medium-sized pig farmer (about 81 pigs) can produce a barrel of oil in about 7 days, and the annual income from cooking "cooking oil" is about 31,111 yuan.

(3) The "waste oil" was transported to Hebei: where did the primary waste oil parasitized by the advanced refineries in the daily chemical enterprises

go? Who is buying primary waste oil?

on March 1, a "Beijing Q IU326" box truck was loading at Qianwanggezhuang Refinery in Langfang City, Hebei Province. An hour later, the "Beijing Q IU326" truck carrying suspected waste oil went west along Fengyi Road, turned north to Dapiying Village, bypassed the security checkpoint in Beijing, and reached the South Fifth Ring Road in Beijing.

finally, drive into the south of Beijing, and stop at the Ketong Logistics Center on Santaishan Road in an alley southeast of the logistics center. On both sides of the alley are simple board houses, and at the end is a wide courtyard with a large number of oil drums piled up, where "Beijing Q IU326" is unloaded.

the reporter observed for many days that about 111 barrels of oil are shipped out of Ketong Logistics Center every day. The reporter learned in the gutter oil workshop that each barrel is about 411 Jin. Based on this calculation, the daily oil shipment is about 21 tons.

the stable collection and transshipment links ensure the stability of the whole industrial chain. According to the cost of 611 yuan per barrel, it costs about 21 million yuan for the "transfer station" to buy "primary gutter oil" only once a year.

where did the collected oil go?

at 11: 14 on March 4th, a red truck named "Ji AV 6682" loaded with more than 111 barrels of oil drove out from "Ketong Logistics Center". After 6 hours and 54 minutes, the truck arrived in Genggezhuang, Shenze County, Hebei Province, with a journey of 271 kilometers.

at 15: 27 on March 8, I worked in an open-pit oil refining area near the farmland in the north of Genggezhuang, Shenze County. Two middle-aged men lifted an iron drum and poured the primary oil into a square iron pot.

"what is this?" The reporter pointed to the red and yellow oil blocks in the iron pot and asked.

"oil." The chubby man in camouflage looked up.

"Can you stir-fry dishes?"

"It can be fried, and it smells delicious."

"Is it leftovers from the restaurant?"

"yes."

There are nearly a hundred tin buckets on the ground on the south side of the large iron pot, and some "white clay" is placed on the west side. The purpose of the so-called "white clay" is "refining animal and vegetable oils to remove pigments and soapstock from oil products". According to the data, in the field of edible oil, the country has not explicitly prohibited the use of "white clay", and some edible oil enterprises will put "white clay" in the oil decoloration process.

"There are several companies in the east of the village that do this (gutter oil), and 41 tons a day (output) is very easy." Zhang Yong (pseudonym) is the head of a daily chemical enterprise in Shenze County. He revealed that "they all came from Xingtai, Hebei Province a few years ago, and some people in the village cooperated with them to do this."

"The oil coming out is as clear as water, and the requirements are very strict, otherwise it will not pass." When talking about the whereabouts of oil products, Zhang Yong said, "They dare not bottle themselves, but sell them to big factories outside."

"If you mix it with palm oil, you need to refine it several times. One or two times will definitely not work. It should be very clean."

"The technology of Genggezhuang waste oil factory mostly comes from Nanhe County, Hebei Province," said Li Ji (a pseudonym), one of the owners of a daily chemical enterprise in Shenze County.

According to the data, a large number of illegal cooking oil factories have gathered in Nanhe County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province. In recent years, due to repeated media exposure, the government has intensified its crackdown and the illegal factories have been diverted. In 2112, four defendants in Nanhe County, Hebei Province were sentenced to five years' imprisonment for participating in the refining of waste oil.

"Technically, gutter oil can be used as both daily chemical and edible oil." Li Ji (pseudonym) said, "It is also the same to add clay to remove color and alkali to adjust acid value. The equipment and technology have a high degree of coincidence and can complement each other."

According to the reporter's investigation, relying on the mature daily chemical industry, the waste oil finishing industry chain in Genggezhuang, Hebei Province has reached a certain scale. A number of enterprises have purchased a large number of primary waste oil, refining workshops are all over the village, and there are even professional oil drum factories near the farmland in the south of the village.

(4) professional tanker transportation: delivered to Tianjin Port Bonded Zone

At 22: 31 on March 8, at Genggezhuang, Shenze County, Shijiazhuang City, the roar of "dada" was from far to near, and a red tanker slowly stopped on the ground scale at the east entrance of the village, with the license plate "Tianjin B-8521". After weighing, "Tianjin B-8521" sailed to the depths of the village. Not far ahead, a white car lights up on the side of the road and looks for its navigation and positioning. The tanker drove into a factory near the farmland in the north, while the white car stayed outside.

During the daytime, the reporter visited the factory. No license plate was hung outside the factory gate, and three super-large oil tanks stood between them. Workers were filling a large oil tanker marked "edible oil". There are a lot of oil drums piled up in the open space of the factory, which contain reddish-brown oil.

The reporter observed that the oil business in Genggezhuang is relatively stable, and a large number of tankers marked with the words "edible oil" travel between various places and Genggezhuang every day, and most of them come from a logistics company named "Jin Zhengyang". The company's official website shows that "Jin Zhengyang" is an edible oil transportation enterprise with professional qualifications, mainly engaged in domestic and foreign trade and bulk transportation of edible oil, and its registered place is Tianjin Binhai New Area.

One night, two large tankers drove into Genggezhuang. At about 6 o'clock the next morning, the first tanker left. At 9 o'clock, the second tanker "Jin B-8521" left. The car was marked "Jin Zhengyang Logistics", and the reporter followed closely. At 9: 22, "Tianjin B-8521" entered Huangshi Expressway from Jinzhou City, Hebei Province, entered Tianjin at 14: 33, and arrived at Jinbin Avenue in Tianjin Free Trade Zone at 15: 53. After a short stop, it turned left and entered a large factory.

it is confirmed that this large-scale factory is "Kerry Grain and Oil (Tianjin) Co., Ltd.", which was registered in Tianjin Port Bonded Zone in 2112 and belongs to Yihai Kerry Group.

among some materials obtained by the reporter inside the factory, a signed document shows that most of the tankers in the factory are from Hebei, Tianjin and other regions.

According to the data, the products in this factory not only have small packaging edible oil, but also supply oil products to some instant noodle enterprises. In an exclusive interview with local media in Tianjin in 2112, Sun Zhigang, general manager of Kerry Cereals and Oils (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. once said that the high-melting-point oil products produced by the factory would be sold to instant noodle enterprises such as Master Kong, Jinmailang and Uni-President, while the by-products produced in the oil processing process would be internally processed into stearic acid, soap and glycerin for sale.

At the same time, the reporter also reported to the public security organs and industrial and commercial departments in Beijing, Hebei and Tianjin. People's TV will continue to pay attention to the development of the situation.
