The XXIV Olympic Winter Games, or the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, are scheduled to open on Friday, February 4, 2022 and close on Sunday, February 20, 2022.

Event venues

The Winter Olympic venues are located in the urban area of Beijing (Beijing Region), in the village of Dazhuangke (Jin: Xidazhuangke Village) in Yanqing, Beijing (Yanqing Region), and in the area of Prince City in Chongli, Zhangjiakou (Zhangjiakou Region).

Competition schedule

On current plans, the Beijing Winter Olympics will have 19 competition days and 228 competition units, kicking off Feb. 2, 2022, with the Opening Ceremony on the 4th and closing on the 20th. Curling will be the earliest event to start, with the first mixed pairs round-robin event taking place two days before the opening ceremony. The cross-country skiing women's 30-kilometer collective start final is the last event to conclude, held in the afternoon of the closing ceremony. Winter Olympics 15 sub-*** formed 11 competition teams; meet Beijing series of winter sports events, the Beijing Winter Olympics and the Winter Paralympics will do their best to use the same domestic technical officials, fully reflecting the requirements of the thrifty hosting of the games.
