Because of my understanding of VOLVO and my love for XC41, I brushed Polaris shortly after picking up the car. Polestar is a high-performance road vehicle brand of Volvo Car Group, which is a bit like AMG of Mercedes-Benz and M of BMW, so I won't explain Polaris much here.

In the meantime, I bought some small Swedish flags and pasted them on the hood, which was considered as a minor modification. This small flag was the exclusive product of the first batch of cars when XC41 was listed in Europe at that time. It was very, very special. For me, it can be regarded as an old driver with driving experience of more than ten years
. After a period of silence, I once chatted with my friends about car modification and found that I could try to change it. In this way, I began my road of modification. [embarrassing] I think the modification must be safe. This is very important, so the brand I am looking for must be professional and safe, and it is best to specialize in VOLVO. [smile ]
STEP1, know about car modification, search for all kinds of [coffee] car modification on the Internet, and start from scratch myself. The car modification I know is the appearance, exhaust, wheel hub, interior and so on. I feel that everything can be changed except the three major pieces. Many people will change their appearance when they choose to modify it, and they will be surrounded. Because they feel cool, some will change their exhaust, and they like to listen to the sound of cars. However, I am rather surprised that the first thing I want to change is the brakes. [Wiping sweat] I thought it was very simple at first. Why not just buy it and install it? Later, I found out that I thought very simply, such as changing the brakes, which involves the J value and ET value of the hub, but also depends on the shape of the hub and whether a brake caliper can be put down. And the value of j determines how wide the tire can be loaded. If you want to change the big wheel hub, you should consider the actual speed of the tire when rolling and the speed error displayed by the speedometer. On the other hand, the tire may rub against the wheel brow and wheel arch of the vehicle when the wheel turns. Therefore, there is actually a lot of knowledge in car modification.
about brands: there are many wheel hub brands, among which BBS is the most famous, as well as RAYS, OZ, ERST, HEICO, WROKS, etc. There are too many, so I won't list them one by one. The manufacturing methods of wheel hub are also divided into casting, spinning casting and forging processes. The most famous brake calipers are bambo and AP, as well as ACLON, ENDLESS and so on. Brakes are also divided into 6 pistons and 4 pistons. Tire brands are mainly Michelin, Pirelli, Bridgestone, etc.
STEP2. After all, VOLVO is a small group, and not many can be modified. At first, I wanted to install the original brake calipers of Polaris (later known as bambo OEM), thinking that the original brake calipers should not be a big problem, so I asked the 4S shop, but the 4S shop directly repliedno. Only the S/V61 of Polaris had the original brake calipers, and I could not buy them separately. Moreover, there are only 61 series, and XC41 can't be installed. bambo's brakes are one-to-one correspondence with models, which are dedicated to special vehicles and cannot be replaced, and can only be abandoned later. Finally, I know that different models have different data and models, which can't be changed casually. When I was at my wit's end, two brands appeared, a European HEICO (called Black Dog in China) and a Japanese ERST, both of which were professional modifications of VOLVO. At the beginning, HEICO was the first choice. After understanding, I found that there were no brake calipers I wanted, and if there were, they were very expensive. The accessories of HCICO were very expensive, which was really difficult to handle. Moreover, there was chaos in China and there was no real generation, so I gave up. Learn about ERST in Japan later. VOLVO's car series, ERST's modified accessories and products are all complete, with different wheels, enclosures, braking systems, springs and exhaust. And China also has an agent, so I got to know more about it.

STEP4, In the process of refitting the wheel hub and braking, 1. As for the comparison between EM6 and VS5-R, the latter should be chosen from the perspective of light weight, but I think EM6 is more classic than VS5-R, and at the same time, it looks better and tougher after getting on the bus. Therefore, EM6 2, Michelin's PS4 SUV and Pirelli P ZERO are all good tires, each with its own advantages, but I prefer Michelin, so I choose PS4 SUV 3 and the original 245/45 R21, and I have to go back to the 4S shop to upgrade the wheel hub data.
