this blog is very good, please have a look.
Because my college roommate is a native of Yanji, I heard her talk about many Yanji delicacies in college for three years, such as barbecue, kebabs, cold noodles, bibimbap, dog meat and laver rice. . . So I have been longing for it.
In June this year, I finally had the opportunity to come to this city and started my four-day gourmet tour. We arrived at Yanji Railway Station on the morning of June 3rd. We took a taxi for RMB 11 from the station and went directly to Yanji Yuehuo Hotel arranged by my roommate's family. This place has convenient transportation and, more importantly, there are many delicious foods around. The hotel room is clean and full of emotional appeal, with floor-to-ceiling windows and 24-hour hot water. My room has a free computer. Even for children who are still in school, the price of 128 yuan is distressing. . . But the room is really cost-effective. PS: The boss is nice.
These are my food strategies for the past four days:
1. Yilin Barbecue, located west of the west gate of Yanbian No.1 Middle School, is a 5-minute walk to this hotel, decorated with Korean style and high-grade decoration; Specialties: boneless steak (one case is enough for two people), roasted Flammulina velutipes and roasted pork belly. PS: I happened to meet the hotel owner that day. Because she has a 21% discount gold card for this hotel, she also lent it to us, saving 31 yuan money. Yanji people are really enthusiastic.
2. The service building is cold. When I went shopping that day, I ate authentic Yanji cold noodles, which were delicious, including high-grade cold noodles and super-grade cold noodles. We also asked for a cold noodle hat (that is, all the side dishes in cold noodles, no noodles). It was the first time to eat chicken bone meatballs in cold noodles. It was delicious.
3. Fengmao Chain Store. There is an old invincible chain store near where we live. I heard it was good, but we went to Fengmao Chain Store, which is a little far away but is well known. The address is at the west gate of Yanji No.1 Middle School, which is 111 meters away. In fact, it's only a few minutes' walk. We went at 7 o'clock at that time, and there was no room left, but there were some melon seeds outside the door. The food is just some mutton, Xinjiang skewers and crescent bones. It tastes really good.
4. laver rice. 211 meters from the hotel, there are 5 or 6 laver restaurants. The storefronts are small, but clean. At that time, I chose the one with the largest family to join in the fun. Beef and tuna-flavored laver rice are both good. I also ordered fried squid rings and onion rings.
5. Draw a picture of Mingtai Fish, which is the most famous snack drinking place in Yanji. We went at 11 pm, and there were still many people. They were all Koreans. We ordered some dried Pacific fish, pickles, some spicy things, potato cakes, fried seafood, and drank a little wine, but the people inside were too noisy and left for a while. Friends who like drinking can go.
6. Grandma Yuan provides meals, on the north side of the east gate of Yanbian University Medical College. The hotel is decorated in a medium Korean style, with special dishes: rice included (only two people need a single serving), and then order something else, such as potato cakes, rice sausages, fried rice strips, tied vegetables and fried Spanish mackerel.
7. Ginseng chicken soup, which is located in the street opposite 111 in Yanji City. You can eat it when you go shopping. I can't remember which store. There are many ginseng chicken soup in that street. 51 yuan, a complete chicken with glutinous rice inside. This is Yanji's famous Jiangmi chicken, and Jiangmi is the glutinous rice in the south.
8. Li Chao bibimbap. Opposite Yanji Water Conservancy Bureau, about 1.7 kilometers away from the hotel, we went to eat at noon, and there were many people. The special features are miso soup, bean curd soup, Mingtai fish soup and bibimbap. When you eat here, there are about 4-5 kinds of free pickles.
9. Plum blossom dog meat. We took a taxi there, near the old army division. Features are dog hot pot (with a plate of meat), big tofu and rice sausage. If there are many people, you can order a dog steak. Dog sauce is a must.
11. There are really too many other cuisines in Yanji. Because of the limited time, I can only taste the above restaurants. However, the owner of the hotel also recommended some good restaurants for my friends who have the opportunity to go, such as Rainbow Beef Soup Restaurant (1.3km away from the hotel), Heart-protecting Meat (located in Niushi Street), Quanzhou Bibimbap (located next to Park Bridge), Kaoshima (located on Maoershan, about 15-21 yuan by taxi), Oriental Barbecue (located in Yanji Water Market) and Korean seafood. Thanks to my roommate, wow, this trip is awesome! I like the climate and food here very much, and I will provide it to you with a food map. I hope this food guide can help you plan a wonderful, happy and careful trip to Yanji. PS: Thanks to the kind boss of Yuehuo Hotel for enthusiastically planning the food route for us.
