Those famous historical events happened in Baoji.
Baoji, called Chencang in ancient times, is the birthplace of Zhou and Qin Dynasties.

There have been human activities in Baoji since ancient times, even earlier than the famous Anbanpo site. The Ming Dynasty's "Tongzhi" records: "To the south of Qili in Baodi County, there is Jiangshi City, to the south, and Yan Di is longer than it." This shows that Yan Di is a large clan tribe that originated in the middle reaches of Weihe River and Jiang Shui River Basin. Later, the tribe named Jiang grew up slowly in Baoji and began to develop in the lower reaches of the Yellow River. Later, it joined hands with Xuanyuan Huangdi tribe and gradually formed the main body of the Chinese nation.

Today, Qishan and Fufeng in Baoji are the active areas of the ancestors of the Western Zhou Dynasty. They are also a branch of the joint tribe of Emperor Yan and Emperor Xuanyuan. Later, in order to avoid the invasion of Rongdi, some Thai tribes visited Liangshan, hid in Joo Won?, built palaces and city walls, and established Qiyi as their capital.

After three generations of efforts and struggles, the tribe has grown up slowly. Later, Ji Chang, the king of Wen, destroyed worship, unified Guanzhong and moved his capital to Fengcheng (now the west bank of Fengshui, Shaanxi). After King Wen was prepared, Ji Fa, the king of Wu, cut down merchants and built Haojing as the capital. Baoji today is the capital of the Western Zhou Dynasty. The counties in Baoji were also the enfeoffment areas of the governors at that time.

During the Zhou Dynasty, the concubine, the leader of the won surname, was enfeoffed in Qin (now Qingshui area in Gansu) for her meritorious service in raising horses for the Zhou royal family. In the sixth year of Zhou Youwang (776 BC), Qin Xianggong moved the capital to Qian Yi (now south of Longxian County). The Qin tribe's sphere of influence has expanded to Baoji, and later moved its capital to Yongcheng (now south of Fengxiang County) in German AD (677 BC).

After Qin Mugong acceded to the throne, he made great efforts to govern and expand the territory, which expanded the sphere of influence of Qin to the west. Qin Xiaogong made good use of people and made great use of Shang Yang's innovation, and the national strength of Qin became stronger and stronger. Finally, the King of Qin swept the six countries, conquered the Central Plains and unified China.

In the second year of Tang Zhide (AD 757), Jifeng Mountain was renamed Baoji County because of the legend of "auspicious habitat". At this point, the name Baoji was born.

In Tang, Song, Jin, Yuan, Ming, Qing and the early years of the Republic of China, the government was located in Fengxiang.

In 30 years (194 1), the Commissioner moved to Baoji. Since then, the political and economic center of Xifu area has been transferred to Baoji City.

Later, the new China was established, and the city was built, which greatly developed Baoji's heavy industry and railway transportation, and made Baoji embark on a new road of economic take-off.
