The scope of food supervision is larger than that of food inspection. The food safety supervision department is famous for food inspection. Its main responsibilities are: (1) to formulate the food safety supervision and management inspection system for catering services and supervise its implementation;
(2) Organize to investigate and deal with major illegal cases of food safety in catering services;
(3) handling complaints and reports of food safety incidents in catering services;
(4) To undertake food safety public opinion monitoring and emergency management of catering services;
(5) Organize special rectification of food safety in catering services;
(6) to guide local catering services in food safety inspection and law enforcement, case investigation, accident handling and emergency management.
