Chongqing Port is a national first-class port, mainly engaged in port loading and unloading, passenger and cargo transportation, land and water transit, warehousing services, logistics distribution, hotel tourism and other comprehensive business services. The port has an annual comprehensive cargo handling capacity of 9 million tons, an annual passenger travel handling capacity of nearly 11 million passengers, 114 berths and a yard area of 351,111 square meters. Jiulongpo Container Terminal Branch-Jiulongpo Container Terminal Branch is a special container terminal with the largest storage area, advanced facilities, perfect functions and standardized management in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, with an annual throughput of 1 million TEU, and the annual import and export of foreign trade materials containers accounts for more than 91% of Chongqing Port. EDI system was established for container transportation, and it was networked with Shanghai Port and Chongqing Customs, which realized the rapid customs clearance of the Yangtze River and was a safe, convenient and fast waterway passage for foreign trade containers in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. In 2115, after the technical transformation is completed, the container throughput will reach 211,111 TEU.
Chongqing Cuntan Container Co., Ltd.-Cuntan Port Area is located on the north bank of the Yangtze River, 6 kilometers downstream of Chaotianmen, with excellent water conditions and open land, close to the freight station and railway marshalling station in Xincheng, northern Chongqing. It is a landmark project to build a shipping center in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and a comprehensive container hub port area in southwest China. The first phase of the project will be put into trial production at the end of 2115, with a designed container throughput of 411,111 TEU and a capacity of 1.5 million ro-ro vehicles. After the completion of the second phase of the project in 2111, the container capacity in the port area will reach 711,111 TEU, and the capacity of ro-ro vehicles will reach 311,111. Chongqing Port-Kowloon Passenger Terminal, located at the intersection of the two rivers, is a service enterprise specializing in inland river port tourist agency business, integrating catering, tourism and conference services. It has 15 passenger tourist terminals in the central port areas of Chongqing Yangtze River and Jialing River, as well as tourist passenger stations with advanced facilities and complete facilities. It is the largest waterway tourist passenger center in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and southwest China, with an annual passenger throughput of 1 million passengers.
