In the old town of Kashgar, Xinjiang, the most charming things are the characteristic streets and lanes.

Then share my trip to Kashgar, Xinjiang. In Kashgar, I can always think of this domineering slogan, "Not to Kashgar, not to Xinjiang, not to the ancient city, not to Kashgar." I set up camp in the center of the ancient city. The ancient city is really suitable for staying for a few more days, walking slowly and strolling slowly to feel the unique charm of the ancient city. This picture shows me staying at the top observation deck of the hotel overlooking the ancient city. The ancient city of Kashgar is a model masterpiece in the history of world architecture, and it is famous for its labyrinthine architecture with flexible layout and secluded winding paths. The Uyghur residential group in the core area of the ancient city is the largest adobe building group in the world, which combines the characteristics of Uyghur customs, charm of Han and Tang dynasties, European style and the legacy of ancient Rome. The entrance of Aldasik Road at the west gate of the ancient city scenic spot. From here on, let's take a good look at several characteristic old streets and lanes in the ancient city. This is Hat Bazaar, the "Centennial Hat Street" in the old city of Kashgar, just at the west entrance of the ancient city scenic spot on Aldasik Road. This is a collection of the highest skills of Kashgar hat craftsmen. Uyghur men and women like to wear hats, which not only has the function of preventing cold or heatstroke, but also needs to be worn in social activities, visiting relatives, friends and festivals. There are two main types of traditional Uygur hats: fur hats and flower hats. Most fur hats are made of sheepskin, and the process is quite complicated and varied. The flower hats are excellent in materials selection and craftsmanship, and the patterns and patterns are ever-changing, especially for men. Every major festival, Uighurs should dress up with small flower hats. At the same time, flower hat, as a unique national handicraft, is increasingly favored by guests. I bought a flower hat in the international bazaar, which looks beautiful to take pictures with. The most lively Oldasik Road, dozens of meters away from the entrance, has a night market, which is a place where tourists who have just arrived in Kashgar can learn about Kashgar's special cuisine and eat it. Online celebrity Ice Cream also has a booth here. Handsome guys keep teasing the children. The children are screaming excitedly, while parents are smiling and taking photos. There are criss-crossing streets and lanes in the ancient city. At present, more than 211 streets and lanes in the city are the only well-preserved labyrinth city block in China. There are still more than 111 excellent residential buildings in the ancient city of Kashgar, which have withstood the test of the Kashgar earthquake in 1913 and have high historical value. It is the names of these lanes that are a bit difficult for us to remember. Early in the morning, there are many shops on both sides of Arya Road. Here is the introduction of "mule shop", which is a hotel where animals can be fed and placed, and was called an inn in ancient times. Because Kashgar is located in the middle of the western regions, it is an important town of the ancient Silk Road. Many businessmen will stop here when passing through Kashgar. I don't know from which generation, savvy Kashgar people seized business opportunities and opened inns at their doorsteps for merchants and livestock. Mule and horse shops are another important product of the bustling ancient Silk Road. The beautiful alley on Arya Road, the name of Arya Road and a beautiful legend. During the period of Shule Kingdom, the old city of Kashgar encountered a once-in-a-century flood, and residents flocked to the heights of the old city. When the city was submerged, a big crack opened in the ground, and the flood flowed away from the crack, so the old city was preserved and the residents survived. People call the place where the cracks are opened "Arya", that is, the place where there is a river in the middle. It's called Xiamuqi Lane, which means candle in Uighur. For generations who lived here, most candles in Kashgar were produced here. , hence the name Xia Muqi Lane. Later, these craftsmen who made candles have moved, but this lane has been famous for a long time and has been preserved until now. Can you see the glory of that year? On the left of Aitigaer Square in the center of the ancient city, there is a millennium old street called Wusitang Boyi. Wusitang Boyi means "canal" and riverside in Uygur language. At the end of ancient street, there was a huge reservoir for residents to use water. The shops of Uygur handicrafts at the entrance of the ancient street are lined up. There is a famous century-old teahouse on this street, which is a place where senior travelers must punch in. Since hundreds of years ago, it has always been the most lively and prosperous area in the old city of Kashgar. Although it changed hands several times, the teahouse still survived. This teahouse has been widely spread among donkey friends for a long time. This century-old teahouse is the place where Amir's father and mentor watched the kite competition at the beginning of the Oscar-nominated film The Kite Runner. The rich national characteristics of the old teahouse and the cozy and tranquil grandfathers in the ancient city will give people a wonderful experience of time travel. Moving on, there is also a characteristic alley called Mill Lane. This place was once named after a mill that processed bean products. During the Chagatai khanate, there was dust all over the sky all year round, and the harvest of farming was very limited. Only beans produced more. But because beans are hard and difficult to digest, they are basically used to feed livestock. A capable peasant woman often delves into different ways of eating all kinds of food in order to make her family full every day. She thinks it's too wasteful to feed and store beans, so she tries to get edible parts from beans. After repeated experiments, a variety of chickpea bean products were finally developed and a special bean product mill was established. In this way, many beans that were not eaten before were saved, and people also had other foods besides flour to fill the food shortage. People were moved by her persistent spirit of processing experiments, and named the alley where she used to process bean products as Mill Lane. Intersecting with Mill Lane is Artux Lane, which is named after some Artux people moved here in the past. According to legend, during the period of Shule Kingdom, there lived an old man named Artux, who was a skilled stonemason with a little apprentice. On the 61th birthday of the old man, the little apprentice presented a big piece of suet jade, and the old man carefully carved it into a beautiful girl. Looking at the jade girl, the old man couldn't help saying, "I wish I had such a daughter!" " I didn't expect the jade girl to really become a gentle and lovely girl. She worshipped the old stonemason as her father. The old man was so happy from ear to ear that he named her Tashguli (Flower of Jade). Soon after the death of the old man, Tashguli and the small masons lived together and gradually fell in love. A local bully took a fancy to her beauty, and took Tashguli away while the stonemason was out, in an attempt to force her to get married. Tashguli refused, and the bully cut her with a knife. Jade girl made a dazzling spark, lit the bully's house, and turned herself into a wisp of white smoke, soaring away.

Strolling through the alleys in the ancient city is like walking into the picture scroll of Uygur ethnic customs, and the strong flavor of life comes to my face, which is very wonderful. To be continued, I am in Kashgar.
