Zhangjiakou Olympic Village is designed with 1,731 rooms and 2,641 beds, including 711 rooms and 1,111 beds for Paralympic Games. The Olympic Village of the Winter Olympics covers an area of about 24 hectares and consists of ten groups. In addition to the media center, delegations from various centers, processing centers and other public service facilities, the nine groups of Dong 'ao Village Apartment can provide 1,591 accommodation units when the meeting ends, with a total of 3,351 beds.

Dongao Village in Zhangjiakou is located 1.6km northeast of Taizicheng Railway Station in Chong 'an District, between the two major competition venues, namely, Ancient Poplar Stadium Group and Genting Stadium Group. Among them, functional groups such as transportation hub, commercial service, conference exchange and sports training are set up to build an international standard barrier-free system in an all-round way. Wang Hao, an architect of Tsinghua University Architectural Design Institute, said in an interview that the exterior wall and decoration are basically in accordance with our tradition in China, and the clay and wood used are basically clay-fired ceramic bricks and imitation wood, and of course some are real wood, for site design.
