Based on the provisions of the Notice on Migrant Workers of Building Construction Enterprises in Guangzhou Municipality to Participate in Work-Related Injury Insurance in the First Place (Spike Labor and Social Work Injury [2007] No. 3): building construction enterprises with their registered place of work or place of production and operation within the administrative area of the Municipality should participate in the work-related injury insurance in the first place for the migrant workers with whom they have established labor relations and have not yet participated in the social insurance. Before the commencement of a new construction project (including alteration and expansion projects), the construction unit shall list the cost of work-related injury insurance for migrant workers as a separate item in the total budgeted cost of the project, and the administrative department in charge of construction shall urge the general contracting company or the specialized contracting company that has been directly contracted out to make a one-time payment of work-related injury insurance premiums for the migrant workers of the building and construction enterprises before the commencement of the construction project. If the contracting company of a construction project has signed a labor agreement (contract) with a construction labor service company and has enrolled in the insurance according to the real name system of the employees, and then enrolls in the insurance with the project, it shall deduct the workers' compensation insurance premiums that have been enrolled in the real name during the contract period of the construction project (the period of the workers' compensation insurance).1. For the bidding project, 20% of the bidding price of the Notice of Bidding Award is the basis for the payment of premiums.2. For the project that is not subject to bidding, 20% of the contract price is the basis for the payment of premiums in the Contract of Construction Work. For non-tendered works, 20% of the contract price in the "Construction Contract" shall be taken as the contribution base. The contribution rate is 1%. Individuals do not contribute. (If there is no extension provision, the contribution rate will be 1% in 2011.) Copy of ID card If the approved workers' compensation insurance benefits are based on their own salary, they are uniformly paid in accordance with 60% of the average monthly salary of the previous year's employees in the co-ordinated area at the time of the injury of the migrant workers.
