According to the Hefei Municipal Bureau of Statistics, the city's GDP in 2022 was 1,201.31 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.5%, higher than the country's 0.5 percentage points, and the same as the province. Among them, it grew 5.3% in the first quarter, 2.9% in the first half of the year, and 3.3% in the first three quarters. In terms of sub-industry, the added value of primary industry was 37.92 billion yuan, up 3.9%; the added value of secondary industry was 439.45 billion yuan, up 5.3%; and the added value of tertiary industry was 723.94 billion yuan, up 2.4%.

Annual value-added of industry above designated size increased by 6.3% year-on-year, higher than that of the whole country and the whole province by 2.7 and 0.2 percentage points; annual investment in fixed assets increased by 9.1% year-on-year, higher than that of the whole country and the whole province by 4.0 and 0.1 percentage points; annual retail sales of consumer goods amounted to 502.162 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 1.8%; annual import and export totaled 361.095 billion yuan , up 8.6% year-on-year, higher than the national 0.9 percentage points.
