Xingzhonghui, the earliest predecessor of the Chinese Nationalist Party, was founded by Dr. Sun Yat-sen on November 24, 1894, in Honolulu, Hawaii, as the first democratic revolutionary group in modern China. The purpose of the organization was to expel the Tartars, restore China, and create a united government. In 1894, Sun Yat-sen traveled to Honolulu, USA to propagate the revolution among the overseas Chinese and founded the Xing Zhong Hui (Society for the Promotion of China), the first democratic revolutionary group in China, and the Constitution of Xing Zhong Hui drafted by Sun Yat-sen was adopted. Here, for the first time, the revolutionary program of overthrowing the feudal monarchical government and establishing a democratic **** and state was put forward.
