How deep is the Turkish Dungeon? How many rooms are there? Millions of years ago, volcanoes located in the Turkish region erupted one after another. Dense layers of volcanic ash were deposited layer by layer, forming soft, easy-to-carve tuff. Ancient ancestors realized that these rocks were perfectly suited for creating habitable stone chambers. At the key cave entrance, there was also the round stone door used for defense. This stone door has hollows in the center, which can be used both to detect the enemy and to shoot arrows to attack.
