The company entered the field of garbage incineration power generation in 2000, and is one of the earliest specialized companies engaged in this field in China. From 2003 to 2005, the company successively built three garbage incineration power plants in Nanshan, Yantian and Baoan, Shenzhen, with a daily garbage disposal capacity of 2,450 tons and an annual garbage disposal capacity of 6,543,800 tons. The construction and operation standards have reached the international advanced level. Among them, Nanshan garbage power plant is a demonstration project of introducing foreign advanced equipment; Yantian garbage power plant is a national-level domestic equipment demonstration project built after digesting and absorbing imported technology; In the blue sky list of renewable energy industry in China, Bao 'an Waste Incineration Power Plant ranks among the "Top Ten Waste Incineration Power Plants in China". Newly started projects include: Shenzhen East (5000 tons/day), Nanshan Phase II (800 tons/day), Baoan Phase II (3000 tons/day) and Wuhan, Hubei (1000 tons/day). New projects will be completed and put into operation in 20 1 1 year, and the daily garbage handling capacity of the company will reach12,250 tons. Among them, Shenzhen East Project will become the largest garbage incineration power plant in the world.

The design institute under Shenneng Environmental Protection is the first professional institution established by enterprises in China, which is dedicated to the research and equipment development of waste incineration power generation, flue gas treatment and advanced wastewater treatment. It has a group of excellent R&D designers and strong scientific research strength. On the basis of successfully introducing and digesting the advanced technology of European waste incineration and flue gas purification system, the design and research institute has mastered the international leading waste incineration treatment and related environmental protection technologies in an all-round way after ten years of exploration and concentrated research and development, innovated and invented a number of core technologies, obtained national utility model patents, and filled the domestic gap. Among them, landfill leachate heat treatment technology (CEAB) has been successfully applied to Yantian and Nanshan garbage power plants; The advanced treatment technology of desulfurization wastewater from coal-fired power plants was successfully applied to Heyuan Power Plant (2X600 MW), making Heyuan Power Plant the first power plant in China to realize "zero discharge" of wastewater.

Shenneng Environmental Protection has passed ISO900 1:2000 (quality management system), ISO 1400 1:2004 (environmental management system) and OHSAS18001:190.

Recently, Shenneng Environmental Protection will build an industrial base of new energy and environmental protection equipment and a national key technology laboratory according to the industrial layout of Shenzhen New Energy Industry Revitalization and Development Plan and around the core technology advantages, so as to further enhance the core competitiveness and maintain Shenneng Environmental Protection's competitive advantages in the fields of municipal solid waste treatment, power plant desulfurization wastewater treatment and sludge treatment.
