According to the above classification principle, when an exhibition venue is used as a rental venue for an exhibition activity, the exhibition service of the venue belongs to the exhibition service in a broad sense; When an exhibition venue holds its own exhibition, the venue exhibition service at this time can be regarded as an exhibition service in a narrow sense. Some scholars classify the provision of water, electricity, compressed air, lighting, air conditioning, telephone and Internet, cleaning, parking and other services in exhibition venues as the contents of venue services. In this book, these contents are classified as venue facilities management, because these contents are tangible equipment and facilities that must be provided in various venue management. Accordingly, this book divides venue services into the above seven categories, and this chapter will discuss each category separately.
For different exhibition venues, due to different market positioning, their services will be different. For venues that target international exhibition activities, the service items and forms provided will be more comprehensive and international; However, the convention and exhibition venues, which mainly focus on local convention and exhibition activities, tend to be cordial and pragmatic in their services. There are various ways to provide services, such as providing services by the venues themselves, hiring professional companies to provide related services, or providing related services to exhibitors or other event participants in the form of franchising.
