What Chinese boutique hotel stays have you had?
Update it? I've received a few private messages from friends asking how I got this job. To clarify, I'm not a hotel test sleeper. I just want to stay in interesting hotels when I'm traveling privately. The answer here is just my personal opinion, and does not represent my workplace. I've stayed in fewer hotels in China. Things I generally consider: design, comfort, service, and dining. The first three are more important, and it's a big plus if the food is good. Usually, if the service is poor that is the most deductive thing, because the hotel is originally a service industry, if even the most basic requirements can not do that or do not come out to mix. ps The hotel will probably think that I'm a kind of quite troublesome customers, I'm the kind of people if you do not do their own strategy, will run to the concierge annoyed to death? Always preferred minimalist style hotels, or at least contemporary contemporary design. Don't like too much of the opulent European hotel paradigm and can't stand too much obtrusive decor. So I'm not a big fan of the Peninsula or Waldorf, let alone the Ritz-Carlton. There are a few brands in the luxury department that I think are doing a great job, Aman, Banyan Tree, and Mandarin Oriental, but basically none of them are the classic luxury style of the old-school route. One of my favorites in China is The Opposite House Beijing in Sanlitun. Behind the scenes is SwireHotelGroup, a subsidiary of Hong Kong's giant Swire Group (the same group that makes sugar cubes), which I admire, as well as The Upper House in Hong Kong and EAST, Beijing. Steal a picture of our company. Stealing a picture from our office. On the left is the atrium seen on the second floor, always curious about how that mantle is going to be washed; on the right is the swimming pool. The left is the atrium seen on the second floor, always curious about how to wash that mantle; the right is the pool. The Opposite House is a hotel that I stayed at last December when I went to Beijing on a business trip. The hotel's designer is a very famous Japanese architect, Kengo Kuma. Given that I'm a big fan of his work, I had my heart set on The Opposite House even before I stayed there. The design is nothing to pick on, the lobby doubles as an exhibition space, with artists' works on display from time to time, and the high atrium makes for a very spacious and atmospheric overall feeling. Each piece of decoration is very appropriate, absolutely not the kind of cheesy small family style. Guest rooms, like minimalist design and original wood tones will absolutely love to die, combined with the Japanese minimalist style, details and have to respond to the Chinese mood, the use of color is extremely clean, the design of the light is also very humane, there is a control panel at the bedside can be a key to all black. The only drawback is the bathtub I really studied for a long time before I realized how to put water ...... Then the spares are not very good and the shampoo is of average quality. RoomsRoomsHowever, what impressed me most about The Opposite House was the service. Check-in is the receptionist with a computer on the lounge area to help you finish, there is no queuing this back to this thing; reception staff is really enthusiastic, excellent attitude, half of which are expatriates, encountered a long in the United Kingdom University of the arts Belarusian girl, there is also a in Hong Kong, they stayed at the Upper House of the Mawar girl. Because I was traveling with my boss, the lobby concierge or reception English is not good if it is really very troublesome (in another five-star hotel in Beijing encountered the front desk English speak very bad, the lobby wandering looks like a triad security guards like middle-aged men). It doesn't really matter if you are a foreigner or not, just don't be petty. The other thing that was very sweet was the aloe vera mask that was given with the night bed, which is so needed on a day like this in Beijing. In terms of food and beverage, I didn't particularly like it. Morning cafe stuff is very general, the coffee is hard to drink, Jing Ya Tang roast duck for health considerations, not even oil (you say roast duck without oil and water what is the point ah oooooooooooo!) However, the other stir-fries in Jingyatang are good, and the environment is Okay. The location is very convenient, and outside is Sanlitun, so it's easy to go to dinner and drink and talk about things. When I returned to China this summer, I stayed in two hotels, the first in fact, strictly speaking can not be considered Boutique, or closer to the luxury, is the Banyan Tree Shanghai On The Bund (BanyanTreeShanghaiOnTheBund) in Shanghai. For my mom's birthday, I booked a room with a pleasant pool and was upgraded to a panoramic view. The difference is actually that the regular rooms are on slightly shorter floors, and the panoramic rooms are on the 11th and 12th floors. The special thing about this hotel is that it is a full river view hotel, all 130 rooms have a river view, and because it is on the North Bund, you can see both Pudong and Puxi at the same time. So, although the North Bund is slightly out of the way, it's really worth it. And in terms of price, it's already a better deal than the river view hotels around the Bund. At that time, I also considered the Peninsula and the Waldorf Astoria river view room, but a little expensive. The biggest feature of the pool is that there is a large restingpool in front of the window, which comes with the guest room, and it should be the only one in Shanghai. Not much to say, on the picture. My mom and I had a great time in that pool, and we even went to buy wine to celebrate (the wine that comes with the hotel is rather generic, but it comes with red and white wine glasses, but no champagne glasses). My paws. My paws. Steal another picture of the company. This is basically the effect, and it was beyond awesome. Steal another picture of the company. That's basically the effect, unbelievably cool. This is how you can play at night ...... This is how you can play at night ...... Also, the welcome flower arrangement delivered over here was beautiful and the chocolates were delicious! Lobby staff are basically locals, and there is a need to respond, they have a what concierge ambassador, in fact, is Butler private butler, 24 hours random harassment, I said at midnight 12 o'clock did not bring make-up remover, there are people who immediately send me make-up remover up, it is really super touched. The biggest regret is the package with the afternoon tea, is really not good ...... plating is beautiful. Spa prices set a little high, did not go, but Banyan Tree Spa is super famous, should not be bad. In addition, its rooftop night view is superb, and not many people, recommended. In addition, I'd like to recommend another hotel in Shanghai that I've stayed at and found to be better. In the near near the South Bund, Jinling East Road end, incredibly quiet and not easy to find the Oriental Business Hotel (LesSuitesOrient, BundShanghai). Taiwan LesSuites Group's first hotel in mainland China, the service can not be picked, and it is very interesting that, although the room is full, but there has been no one in the lobby, which I think it is very magical, because the number of rooms in this hotel also has more than 100. The rooms are a bit small but functional, the bathroom provisions are especially thoughtful, there are little bags for girls to put their discarded tampons in, and the combs are superbly made, I smuggled one back. Last time I went to live in a cornerroom, you can take a shower while looking at the river view, and then the bedroom living area window is facing Lujiazui; but unfortunately I went back to the time was last year's pm2.5 the most explosive table of the days, during the day are foggy a can not see anything. The breakfast buffet is included in the room rate and is very, very tasty! All of their public **** space, almost all can see the river view, lounge inside the coffee, tea and snacks are free, should be able to say that the Bund next to the highest cost-effective boutique hotel. The bathtub with a river view! The bathtub with a river view! Last but not least, I stayed at the Boundless Hotel in Xiamen. The design is impeccable, and I loved the guest rooms even more than the Opposite House. The whole concept was done wonderfully. The monobloc bathtub was awesome, and the view of the mountains was right outside (I seem to have a thing for soaking in a bath while looking at the view.) The bed was huge and comfortable. A lot of the little details in the room were interestingly designed, like all the lighting controls, and the tea set given out on the coffee table (because Xiamen people love tea). First steal two online pictures, the second right is a Shanghai friend made the device ^_^ first steal two online pictures, the second right is a Shanghai friend made the device ^_^ really like this integrated design, the zones are made very human. I really like the integrated design and the compartmentalization is very humanized. A tree grows in the center of the hotel, I really like this design! A tree grew in the middle of the hotel, so like this design! Corner of the top floor restaurant, every piece of glass in its house is numbered, it's kinda interesting. Corner of the restaurant on the top floor, every piece of glass in its house is numbered, it's kinda interesting. The service can score high because every employee will greet you when they see you, and even a front desk girl, chatting with you about some of her functions outside the scope of the issue is also very insightful, visible staff training is done very well. Because it is a birthday, the hotel also prepared a birthday cake, quite a lot of effort. Although the location is relatively remote, the hotel has prepared a shuttle bus can be sent to the airport and the city, as long as booked in advance, which is 10,000 times better than the pick-up service purchased in the Ctrip ground. The bedside lamp embedded in the bed board is too cute! The bedside lamp that nestles into the bedpan is just adorable! Cons: The food and drink was rather mediocre, the food was really bad (but since breakfast is free it's better to just eat whatever you want), and the wine wasn't great, but the hotel admitted that they hoped to improve in that area. The gallery downstairs is a bit inexplicable, the guests are basically locals and Jiangsu and Zhejiang vacation tourists are mainly in the restaurant to eat with children will be relatively noisy. Gym facilities are not complete, but there is actually a mahjong room next to it, so Chinese characteristics, to the knee well! Mention a few more have not lived, but visited and impressed, super want to go to live. Actually, the same designer is involved behind the scenes, The PuLi in Shanghai and AmanatSummerPalace in Beijing. Both are Chinese designs, the former favoring the atmospheric charm of the Tang and Song dynasties, the latter just thoroughly reminiscent of the Qing Dynasty. The food at both is delicious!!! And the amenities are first class. Yihe Amman's shortcomings are partial, Puri honestly I can not pick any thorns, but unfortunately there should be little opportunity to live in the near future? Went to Puri had a simple meal, good taste. I went to Puri to eat a simple meal, good taste. Lobby, very suitable for talking business feeling. Lobby, very suitable for talking business feeling. I think of these for the time being~ show all
