The Supreme Court of the Netherlands ordered all restaurants in the Netherlands to close their smoking areas, so Schiphol Airport also closed the smoking areas of all restaurants in the airport. Before the implementation of the no-smoking policy, there were some smoking areas at Schiphol Airport, but these smoking areas are now closed.
