"Birthday": In the old days, family elders usually celebrated their birthdays every ten years after they turned 50. The ceremony is to invite relatives and friends and entertain guests. Birthday greetings include birthday books, birthday couplets, wine, meat, fruit and so on. Before the banquet, a birthday ceremony was held, the younger generation paid tribute to it, and relatives and friends sent greetings. Another married daughter bought a knife of pork for her 66-year-old parents to express the custom of wishing them a long life.
"Congratulations on the new house": In the old society, people in the county regarded building a new house as a major event. When the new house starts, red couplets are posted and firecrackers are set off, indicating that it can drive away good luck and avoid evil, and congratulations are also expressed. Moving into a new house is called "housewarming". At that time, the master moved the fire from the old stove to the new stove at dawn, which was called "receiving the fire". "Warm pot": The married daughter set up a kitchen in her husband's house, and her relatives sent cookware, matches, ponytails, rice wine, pasta, fish and so on to cook for her, symbolizing that life is booming and horses and mules are rising step by step.
"Looking hot": In the first summer after marriage (the first summer when unmarried young people began to get engaged), the man went to his wife's house to visit Wang Yue's parents with gifts such as melons, peaches, wine and meat.
