qingquan town was founded in Qianlong period of Qing dynasty, commonly known as Liao jiachang. it was called Taiping town in the early Republic of China, and was renamed qingquan town after 1981. Topography belongs to the junction of Dongshan hill and Longquan mountain low mountainous area, and 11 villages in the northwest of the town are shallow hilly areas with an altitude of 471-518 meters; Four villages in the southeast are low mountainous areas with an altitude of 541-731 meters. Water is abundant, and the soil is mainly yellow mud and purple sandy soil, which is suitable for the growth of various crops. Natural gas resources are rich in reserves and have high development value.

qingquan town is the first of the five fields in Dongshan hill, with developed markets, especially the four seasons fruits, vegetables, ginger and Chinese herbal medicines. Because of the convenient transportation, farmers and vendors from surrounding towns and villages come here to gather every other day. The maximum traffic volume is about 31,111 per day, and the peak traffic volume exceeds 1,111 vehicles per day. Now it has become a distribution center for agricultural and sideline products in five townships and one town in qingbaijiang district and some towns in neighboring districts and counties. Qingquan Town will continue to follow the work requirements of the district committee and the district government, base on the twelve-character industrial development policy of "fruits, vegetables, poultry and wood, processing trade and leisure tourism", seize the five opportunities of "accelerating the development of the area south of Pihe River, building key towns, building experimental areas, rebuilding after the disaster and expanding domestic demand", firmly grasp the key point of coordinating urban and rural work, and focus on three major tasks: urban management and new district construction, infrastructure construction and industrial development, property rights financing and market system reform.
