The Water Cube covers an area of about 6.2 hectares. The National Swimming Center, commonly known as the Water Cube, is now renamed ice cube. Located in the south of the central area of Beijing Olympic Park, it is the main swimming pool built by Beijing for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games.

The National Swimming Center, alias "Water Cube" and "ice cube", is located in Beijing Olympic Park, Chaoyang District, Beijing (No.1 1, Tianchen East Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing). It was established on February 24, 2003 and officially completed in June 2008.
On October 27th, 2020/kloc-0, 165438, the National Swimming Center passed the completion acceptance, and the "water cube" became an "ice cube". The National Aquatics Center is a boutique venue for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and a classic reconstruction venue for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. It is also the only Olympic venue donated by compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and overseas Chinese. ?
The National Swimming Center has a total construction area of 65,000-80,000 square meters, of which the underground construction area is not less than 15000 square meters, and the length, width and height are177×177× 30m respectively. The stadium looks like an ice cube, and its shape is simple and modern. Inside the venue is a six-story building with a square plane.
The facilities in the museum mainly include a competition hall, a warm-up pool, a multi-function hall and a large water park. Ice cube Ice Sports Center is located in the underground space of South Square of National Aquatics Center, with a total construction area of about 8,000 square meters. It consists of1.830m2 standard skating rink, four 45× 5m standard curling venues and supporting service facilities.
The National Swimming Center is an international advanced center integrating swimming, sports, fitness and leisure, and will become a water recreation center for Beijing citizens.
The National Aquatics Center has built two ice surfaces using the underground space of the South Square, one is a standard skating rink and the other is a curling venue, which will serve as a curling experience base in the Olympic Central District, providing an open platform for the public and providing assistance for 300 million people to participate in ice and snow sports. ?
