A few days ago, Brand Finance, a brand evaluation agency, released "202 1 TOP25, the most valuable restaurant brand in the world". Affected by the decrease in store traffic, more than half of the brand values have declined, and the total value has also dropped from 162 1 billion dollars last year to153.9 billion dollars.
The United States became the biggest winner, with 20 brands on the list, accounting for 92% of the total value of the listed brands, taking the top eight. There are two brands in the UK. Apart from Costa( 15), Wetherspoons(2 1) is the only chain bar on the list. China, Canada and the Philippines each have 1 brands on the list.
Ranked tenth on the list is Canadian national coffee Tim Hortons, with a brand value of $4.054 billion. Founded by ice hockey player Tim Horton in 1960s, it was acquired by restaurant brand international (RBI) in 20 14. At present, it has replaced Burger King as the largest source of income for the Group, accounting for more than 60%.
Tims has more than 4,900 stores around the world, including nearly 4,000 in Canada, with an average daily sales of more than 5 million cups of coffee. It is the number one fast food chain restaurant in the local area, with a market share of 63% higher than that of Starbucks (7%), and 80% of Canadians visit it at least once a month.
Tims Coffee officially entered the China market the year before last and opened its first store in Shanghai. Over the past two years, more than 50 cafes have been opened in 10 first-and second-tier cities such as Hangzhou, Dalian and Beijing, all of which have achieved overall profits. The brand has been favored by Tencent and Sequoia, and plans to open 1500 stores in China in the next few years.
