Second, medical conditions and medical insurance
The medical level in Spain is relatively high, and the related medical equipment is quite advanced. The west is a country with a high social welfare system, and all people enjoy social medical insurance. In addition, there are private medical insurance companies, such as anitas's and Asisa, which cover medical treatment, hospitalization, surgery and childbirth. And the hospitals and clinics they signed with are all over the country, so it is convenient to see a doctor at ordinary times and holidays. In addition, the health situation in Spain is good, and there are no large-scale infectious diseases. However, influenza occasionally occurs in spring and autumn, and children under two years old and elderly people over 60 years old must be vaccinated.
Third, the security situation.
In recent years, the social security situation in Spain has deteriorated day by day, especially in Madrid, the capital, and Barcelona, the second largest city, where the crime rate remains high and robbery and theft cases occur frequently. In June 2003, a Greek tourist was stabbed to death in Madrid for resisting. Asian tourists and businessmen, including China citizens, are most likely to be the targets of thieves. From June 5 to September 2003, more than 50 citizens applied for new travel documents because they were robbed by the consular section of our embassy in the West.
Criminals are mostly immigrants from North Africa and Latin America, with dark skin color, mainly gangs, and most of them commit crimes in tourist attractions, railway stations and airports, underground passages in the city center and at the entrance of hotels; There are several ways to commit crimes: dressing up as a tourist and asking for directions with a map in his hand; ; Dressed as a plainclothes policeman to search for bags; Tell you that your clothes are dirty and kindly help; After deliberately puncturing the tire, he took the opportunity to steal luggage while assisting in replacement; Put your arms around your neck from your backpack, or put people in a coma with a handkerchief stained with chemicals; Dress up as a gypsy and sell you flowers and other small things.
In view of the above situation, I hereby propose the following safety precautions for my citizens in Spain:
(1) It is best to go out together and pay attention to whether there are suspicious people before and after;
(2) If it is not necessary, don't take your passport and air ticket with you when you go out; It is best to copy passports, airline tickets, etc. And store them separately from the original for reissue;
(3) Don't carry a lot of cash when you go out. If you need to carry cash, you should carry it scattered to avoid all cash being taken away at one time;
(4) Try not to carry purses, backpacks or purses. You can use ordinary plastic bags or shopping bags to carry necessary items, tea and drinks, which is less likely to cause gangsters to covet;
(5) If you are traveling alone, please remember your own safety when traveling by boat, and don't accept food or drinks from strangers. If you are in a sleeping car, lock the car at night and hang a door chain on it. Bags should be tied under your head, and valuables should be separated in clothes bags, not in the same leather bag or pocket.
(six) in case of armed robbers, generally do not resist, so as not to endanger life safety;
(7) Early in the morning, late at night or at lunch time (around 2 pm to 4 pm), because the police force is relatively weak, it is a favorable opportunity for criminals to commit crimes, so special attention should be paid to prevention.
If you are unfortunately robbed or stolen, our organization will handle it as follows:
(1) immediately report the case to the police station and issue a certificate, so as to apply for compensation from the insurance company and handle matters such as changing air tickets, passports and visas from other countries.
(2) When traveler's checks and credit cards are lost, stolen or robbed, you should immediately report the loss to the issuing bank or company and stop paying to prevent theft.
(3) If you need to reissue your travel documents, please contact the Embassy in Spain or the Consulate General in Barcelona immediately, and the staff will try their best to provide you with assistance.
Tel and address of the Embassy in Spain: Tel: 00349 1-72 16286/ Fax: 00349 1-5 192035, Address: C/Arturosoria,1/kloc. The telephone number of the consular section is 0034-9 174 14728, and the address is C/Josefa UALCá rcel 40, 1A-PLANFA, 28027, Madrid.

Fourth, common legal problems.
(1) How do my expatriates get married in Spain?
Overseas Chinese who have settled in Spain can register their marriages in accordance with the Marriage Law of China or the Spanish Civil Law.
1. If you get married according to China's marriage law, you can go to the Spanish Embassy or the Consulate General of Barcelona to register. The age of marriage is: 22 for man and 20 for woman. The required documents are as follows:
(1) documents (valid passport, residence permit) to prove the identity of both parties;
(2) unmarried (divorced or widowed) certificate issued by the relevant domestic departments; (For example, if you are under the age of marriage before you get a Spanish residence permit when you go abroad, you don't need a domestic unmarried certificate).
(3) A certificate issued by the Spanish Civil Registry certifying that the marriage was not registered anywhere in Spain.
(4) Three-inch double photos of the couple.
After the marriage registration in the embassy or consulate, you should get a Spanish marriage certificate immediately, which needs to be certified by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs for future use.
2. Foreigners living in the west can also get married in accordance with the provisions of Spanish civil law on marriage, in accordance with religious ceremonies (teaching people), or register civil marriages in local courts or civil registration offices.
(1) Valid ID card (passport or residence permit);
(2) the household registration certificate of the local government;
(3) the consular registration certificate of the embassy;
(4) the birth certificate of the party concerned;
(5) unmarried (divorced, widowed) statement.
If the party applying for registration is underage, parents must be asked to sign their consent on the spot.
Civil registration procedures are as follows:
(1) Both parties and two witnesses (the witnesses must be adults and have legal residence in the west) shall register in the civil registration office and submit the required documents;
(2) A few days later, after reviewing the documents, the judge of the civil registration office went to the registration office to sign and choose the wedding date;
(3) On the appointed date and time, the newlyweds and witnesses will go to the registration hall and hold a notarized marriage ceremony under the auspices of the judge.
According to Spanish law, the judge (or local governor) presiding over the civil registration of marriage must read the contents of Articles 66, 67 and 68 of the Civil Code to the parties, requiring both husband and wife to abide by them. After getting a positive answer from both husband and wife, the presiding judge announced that they were married from now on. The newlyweds and witnesses sign the marriage registration book, and the judge's clerk gives the marriage certificate (that is, the family registration book Libro de Familia) to the newlyweds. Libro de Familia can be used to prove the relationship between husband and wife, and it can also be used to issue a marriage certificate at the registry at any time in the future, that is, the page signed by the judge, secretary, parties and witnesses is copied by the registry and stamped with the confirmation stamp. If one or both married couples do not know Spanish, they must be accompanied by an official interpreter.
(3) How do China expatriates handle divorce procedures?
In western China, the divorce procedure is divided into the following situations:
1. Where one party is an overseas Chinese and the other party has settled in China:
If both parties voluntarily divorce and reach an agreement on the handling of children and property, they must go to the marriage registration office of the people's government at or above the county level at the domicile of one of the domestic parties for divorce. If only one party asks for a divorce, or both parties divorce voluntarily, but no agreement can be reached on issues such as child support and property disposal, they must directly file a divorce lawsuit with the people's court where the domestic party is domiciled.
2. Both sides are overseas Chinese:
In China, if divorce procedures are needed, whether one party files a divorce or both parties voluntarily divorce, they must apply to the people's court where the marriage is registered. If the marriage was originally registered in our embassy or consulate abroad and applied for divorce, if there is no dispute between the two parties, you can apply for divorce in the original registered embassy or consulate; In case of dispute, both parties shall bring a lawsuit to the people's court of their last domicile or residence before going abroad.
Whether there is any dispute or not, it can be handled through Spanish courts. Spanish courts will make judgments through judges in accordance with China's marriage law and Spanish law. If one party runs away from home and doesn't know where to go, the other party can sue in the local court and accuse him of running away from home; If you file for divorce, you can also file a lawsuit in court. According to western law, if the defendant cannot be brought to court, the court can make a judgment granting divorce.
If you want to go through the divorce formalities in China, and the parties cannot return to China for some reason, you can apply for a power of attorney through the notary office or the embassy or consulate, entrust your relatives or lawyers in China to handle it on your behalf, and submit written opinions to the people's court.
