Chapter III Sampling of Code for Food Safety Supervision and Sampling in Catering Services

Article 11 The system of separation of sampling and inspection shall be implemented in supervision and sampling inspection. The sampling task is mainly undertaken by the local food and drug supervision department or its law enforcement agencies. The inspection task is mainly undertaken by the food inspection agency that has obtained the qualification certification according to law. According to the needs, the food and drug supervision department may request the inspection agency to assist in sampling and sample pretreatment.

Article 14 The sampling unit may refuse to accept sampling under any of the following circumstances:

(3) The sampling unit or sampling variety is inconsistent with the supervision sampling notice;

(4) The sampling date exceeds the validity period of the supervision and sampling notice.

article 15 if the sampling unit refuses to take samples without justifiable reasons, the sampling personnel shall inform the sampling unit of the consequences of refusing to take samples and the handling measures. If the sampling unit still refuses to sample, the sampling personnel shall fill in the instructions for refusing to sample and sign them on the spot, and report to the local food and drug supervision department in time, and the local food and drug supervision department will treat them as unqualified sampling.

article 16 the sampled samples shall be stored and transported in strict accordance with the physical, chemical and biological characteristics of the samples or the storage and transportation conditions indicated on their labels, so as to ensure the integrity and originality of the samples before testing.
