Natural Geography
Luojiang County's rivers and streams, rich in water, originated in Anxian Luba Mountain Kaijiang River from north to south across the Wensheng, Luojiang County; flow through the Panglong, Jingyang District, Deyang City, Tongjiang through the Middle River County, Santai County, after the convergence of the Fuling River tributary.
The upper reaches of the Kaijiang River Ripple River runs 48.9 kilometers through the county, and the Mianyuan River flows 12.38 kilometers through the whole territory. The water source is rich and favorable for the establishment of agricultural irrigation and aquaculture bases.

History
Luojiang County is named after Luo River. Luojiang, belonging to Deyang City, Sichuan Province, was once set up as Wan'an County in the Western Jin Dynasty, with a history of more than 1,700 years; in the first year of the Tang Tianbao, the name was changed to Luojiang.
Luojiang was first seen as the name of a river in the Sui Dynasty, and as the name of a county in the Tang Dynasty.
Wan'an County was set up in Wan'an Old Town at the end of Zitong Water during the Western Jin Dynasty; in the first year of Tianbao (742) of the Tang Dynasty, Wan'an County was renamed Luojiang County.
For more than 1,000 years thereafter, the jurisdiction of Luojiang County was in the area of Jinshan, Luojiang and Waisui.
The 16th year of the Shunzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1659), Luojiang was incorporated into Deyang County, the 7th year of the Yongzheng reign (1729) was reset Luojiang County, the 34th year of the Qianlong reign (1769) Luojiang County was again abolished, and the 7th year of the Jiaqing reign (1802) was restored to Luojiang County.

In 1984, Deyang County was abolished to establish Deyang City Central District; in August 1996, the State Council approved the abolition of Deyang City Central District and the establishment of Luojiang County and Deyang City Jingyang District; on December 10, 1996, Luojiang County was officially listed as a county.
In 1997, Wan'an Township was separated from Luojiang Town.
