Baisha county, Hainan province is an autonomous county in Hainan province, China. It belongs to minority autonomous counties and is directly under the jurisdiction of Hainan Province.

Baisha Li Autonomous County in Hainan Province is the county with the largest per capita land area in the province. It is located at the northwest foot of the middle section of Limu Mountain, on the upper reaches of Nandu River, adjacent to Qiongzhong in the east, Ledong in the south, Changjiang in the west and Xiuzhou in the north.

The languages in Baisha County are mainly Li, Hainan, Miao, Mandarin and Xiuzhou. Native products mainly include white sand green tea, ceramics, kapok, pepper, mango, bamboo and rattan, etc. Special catering includes Li bamboo rice, Li sauerkraut, Li sweet bad, Li Shanlan wine and so on.

Baisha Li Autonomous County belongs to Yuer County in the Western Han Dynasty and Zhuya County in Hepu County in the Eastern Han Dynasty. From the Yuan Dynasty to the Republic of China, Baisha County successively belonged to Qiongshan County, Ding 'an County, Danxian County, Lingao County and Changgan County. In the spring of 1935, Chen Hanguang planned to establish five counties in the Wuli District of Wuzhishan in the "Fuli Plan". In April, the Civil Affairs Department of Guangdong Provincial Government officially approved the establishment of three counties: Ledong, Baoting and Baisha. Baisha County is divided into Danzhou, Changjiang, Gan 'en, Ding 'an, some Li districts in Ya County and enclave-Shuiweiying in Qiongzhong County. According to the Geographical Records of the Draft of Qing Dynasty, "Danzhou has a patrol department of thin sand", which was named after the establishment of "thin sand camp" as a military stronghold in the 28th year of Qing Emperor Kangxi. Later, "thin sand" evolved into "white sand". It was merged into Ledong County in October of 1958, resumed in 1961, and established Baisha Li Autonomous County in 1987.
