According to the regulations, the garbage disposal fee service unit charges the construction waste generated, of which the residential renovation garbage fee standard is RMB 0.3 per kilogram, and the non-residential renovation garbage fee standard is RMB 0.4 per kilogram. At the same time, according to the requirements of waste classification, renovation waste needs to be categorized into construction waste for classification and treatment. It is worth noting that the rate does not include other renovation-related costs, such as demolition and clean-up costs, which need to be paid separately by the party generating the renovation waste. In addition, if a lot of renovation waste is generated and a specialized centralized disposal service needs to be used, additional service fees need to be paid to the centralized disposal service unit.
What will happen if the renovation waste is not categorized? According to Shanghai's waste classification management regulations, construction waste that is not classified as required will be treated as substandard waste for disposal. For individuals and units, once the illegal garbage classification behavior is found, the administrator will warn and fine them. For enterprises, it may involve the review of business licenses and affect business operations.
