A quasi-credit card is a credit card in which the cardholder first deposits a certain amount of reserve as required by the bank, and when the reserve is insufficient for payment, the cardholder can overdraw within the credit limit specified by the issuing bank. Debit cards are categorized into transfer cards, special cards and stored value cards according to their functions. Debit cards cannot be overdrawn. Transfer cards have the functions of transferring money, depositing and withdrawing cash and spending money. Specialized cards are debit cards that can be used in specific areas and for specific purposes (other than department stores, restaurants, and the entertainment industry), and have the functions of transferring money and accessing cash. A stored value card is a prepaid wallet-type debit card to which the bank transfers funds to be stored in the card at the request of the cardholder, and from which funds are debited directly at the time of the transaction.
The following are the differences between the two cards:
1. Credit cards are (consumer credit products) to be consumed before repayment, and debit cards are to be deposited first and then used;
2. Credit cards can be overdrawn, and debit cards are not overdrawn;
3. Credit cards have revolving credit lines, and debit cards do not have revolving credit lines; (revolving credit is the amount of money that the bank gives to the cardholder to be used.) 4. Credit card holders in the final repayment date in full repayment, shopping and consumption enjoy interest-free repayment period;
5. Credit card deposits are not interest-bearing, debit card deposits according to the savings interest rate;
6. Credit cards belong to the asset business, debit cards belong to the liability business;
7. Credit card issuance to comply with the relevant conditions (such as workplace situation, assessment of repayment ability, review of personal credit records, etc.), debit cards can be as long as there is an ID card;
8. Credit cards have a tamper-evident logo and the UnionPay logo, and debit cards only have the UnionPay logo.
