For the old Yueyang people, every grass, tree, brick and tile in the block of Dongting South Road has an indelible historical mark. However, with the change of time and the rapid development of the city, the historical and cultural block of Dongting South Road has been quietly lost by the trend of social development and lost its former glory.
Fish alley is a street named after fish, which has been a market for hundreds of years. From the alley of Yueyang former commercial building, there are more than 100 fish stalls in more than half a mile of streets and alleys. Fish alley, the sound of bargaining, the sound of live fish beating, wet and shiny bluestone, and dilapidated buildings on both sides have become the most common and vivid memories in fish alley.
Stop and listen, the shouts and bargains of past vendors still seem to linger in my ears.
Once a fish alley, I don't want to say goodbye. I also want to see you again. I am still very charming.
The historical and cultural block project of Dongting South Road is being implemented, which makes the old street look brand-new. The cultural block project is in full swing, and it is planned to be a cultural tourism complex integrating business, cultural creation, catering, culture, folk customs, cultural experience and street life.
The cultural block is adjacent to Yueyang Tower, which brings together many cultures such as business, fishing market, religion and wharf. The planned scope of the project starts from Yuxiang Lane in the north, ends at Hanjiawan Road in the south, ends at Xianfeng Road in the east and ends at Dongting Lake in the west, with a planned area of about 685 mu.
The content of the block construction is "One Belt, Three Districts, Three Wharfs and Nineteen Alleys". "Belt" refers to the railway cultural landscape belt, "Three Areas" refers to the street life experience area, the cultural and creative industry incubation area and the industrial heritage park area, and "Three Wharfs" refers to the Jiehekou Wharf, the Guerrilla Lane Wharf and the Red Shipyard Wharf. "Nineteen Alleys" refers to the restoration of historical streets and lanes according to the texture and scale of traditional blocks.
The cultural project aims to create "ten pictures": catch an early gathering, wear Hanfu, listen to a lecture on Chinese studies, take the train all the way, chat for a while, have a cup of famous tea, take a beautiful photo, eat a fresh lake, enjoy a good show and enjoy a bar.
When the National Day meets the Mid-Autumn Festival, in 2020, the family and the country will embrace each other on the same day with such a gesture. On this beautiful day of family happiness and family reunion, in addition to friends and relatives getting together to enjoy the moon, we can also have a look at the "face" of the transformed fish alley.
I wish all the babies a happy double festival!
