Donghu District, part of Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, is the center of Nanchang City, bounded by the intersections of West Beijing Road and Hongdu Avenue, North Hongdu Avenue, the west shoreline of Qingshan Lake, North Qingshan Road, Qingshan Lake City Gate, and Fudan Embankment; the boundaries of West Beijing Road, the southern end of Bayi Square, Bayi Avenue, Zhongshan Road, Zhongshan Bridge, and West Zhongshan Road; and the Ganjiang River Nanhang is in the west and the north, with the centerline of the road serving as the boundary.
Donghu District is located in the northeastern part of Nanchang City, as of January 2019, covers an area of 56.95 square kilometers, with the jurisdiction of one town, nine street offices and two management offices.In 2018, the total population of the district was 503,610, of which the resident population of the town was 501,596, and the urbanization rate of the population was 99.60%, which increased by 0.02 percentage points compared with that at the end of the previous year.
