20 15 architectural features of China pavilion in Milan Expo.
Talking about the design of China Pavilion, Song Jie, one of the designers and vice president of Beijing Shang Qing Architectural Design and Research Institute, said, "The biggest feature is strong artistry. At the same time, the novel architectural forms and innovative building materials have also improved the expressive force of the China Pavilion. The design concept and creativity come from artists of Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts. In front of the China Pavilion, there is about 1000 square meters of outdoor landscape. It is a field with the characteristics of typical agricultural civilization in China. The fields densely covered with crops and plants are inlaid with Xiannong altar with stage function, Red Wall of the Forbidden City with stage background function, Beijing Hutong with evacuation function and Image River with main passage function. These landscape elements echo the mountain architecture and present the magnificent landscape of China.

The garden landscape in front of China Pavilion was built by Beijing to publicize the World Horticultural Exposition to be held in Yanqing, Beijing on 20 19.

Shang Qing Design Institute belongs to Tsinghua University Qingkong Habitat Construction Group, formerly known as Tsinghua Gongmei Environmental Art Design Institute, founded by famous architects and educators, and is good at architectural design, interior design and environmental art design. During the 20 10 Shanghai World Expo, Shang Qing participated in the construction of the Future Pavilion and the China Aviation Enterprise Pavilion. Expo Milan will be held from May 1 day to1October 3 1 day, with the theme of "Energy for Nourishing the Earth and Life", with agriculture, grain and food as the main themes. 148 countries and international organizations confirmed their participation. The China Pavilion is shaped like a golden wheat wave and covers an area of 4,590 square meters. It is the second largest foreign national pavilion in Milan Expo Park. The largest German pavilion is 4900 square meters.

Although the area of the China National Pavilion is closely followed by the German Pavilion, it ranks second. However, if we add the1200m2 China Enterprise Joint Pavilion with the theme of "China Seed" and the 900m2 Vanke Pavilion with the theme of "canteen", the total exhibition area will be about 6,700m2, and China will become the largest country in Milan Expo.

The roof of China Pavilion consists of three floors from bottom to top, which is referred to as "sandwich" for short: the main structure is glued wood (steel wood), the main structure is covered with PVC waterproof layer, supported by sun-shading bamboo boards, and the top layer is a sun-shading skin spliced by bamboo strips. The purpose of covering the roof with bamboo woven materials is to choose bamboo woven surface materials with different light transmittance corresponding to the sunshine track in Milan, which can introduce natural lighting into the room, not only meet the lighting demand, but also reduce energy consumption, which is in line with the concept of sustainable development.

On the multilateral international stage of the World Expo, it is the essence of China Pavilion's "Land of Hope, Source of Life" to comprehensively introduce the history, present situation and future of China's agriculture, food and catering culture, and show China's unremitting efforts to effectively utilize resources, ensure food security and provide adequate, healthy and high-quality food.

The exhibition of China Pavilion is divided into five exhibition areas: Preface, Heaven, Earth, People and People. The "Looking Back at the Fields" part of the "Ground" exhibition area is the biggest attraction of the China Pavilion. Giant LED fiber lattice is composed of tens of thousands of artificial "wheat stalks". The "ear of wheat" at the top of each "straw" is an LED luminous body controlled by a computer program. "Wheat ears" form a huge three-dimensional dynamic field picture through the patchwork layout, which has a strong visual impact. The top of the sandwich

Milan Expo is the first time that China has built its own pavilion to participate in overseas exhibitions. Because the exhibition spans three seasons: spring, summer and autumn, considering the requirements of energy saving, environmental protection and convenient construction, the roof of China Pavilion should be light and the internal space span should be large, so the roof is made of glued wood.

The mascots "Harmony" and "MengMeng" draw lessons from the image of China folk clay sculpture "Daafu". The number "Hehe" comes from the word "mouth" in the word "Hehe". He holds rice that embodies the word "harmony", and the pictographic combination of "harmony" and "mouth" represents the relationship between food and people in Chinese character culture. "MengMeng" takes its meaning and expresses China people's vision for the future. Her traditional elements, such as croissants, gold hoops and Chinese corsets, make the mascot's image of China more prominent and vivid.

At the same time, the light diffuses into the room through the bamboo skin, scattering mottled projections on the PVC waterproof layer. Projection changes with the seasons and time, which is quite artistic and romantic.

Song Jie said that Shang Qing Institute of Architectural Design and Research and Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts have profound academic origins and the same artistic background. During the design of the China Pavilion of the Milan Expo, the two units cooperated closely and deeply in the aspects of preliminary scheme design, construction drawing, deepening design and post-service etc. This is a successful practice for colleges and universities to create domestic high-end design standards through the combination of Industry-University-Research. The exhibition of China Pavilion is divided into five exhibition areas: preface, heaven, earth, people and harmony. It focuses on China's splendid and long-standing agricultural civilization and profound food culture, and conveys China's persistence in sustainable development. It creates an exhibition space in the form of "Loft", with an open dining area on the first floor and a banquet hall, audio-visual hall and VIP room on the second floor.

In the selection of building materials, China Pavilion adheres to the concept of sustainable development and environmental protection, and creates an indoor space close to nature. The open dining area on the first floor is made of simple materials such as polished concrete and resin paint, which is combined with the endless "wheat field" landscape, highlighting the original ecological design concept close to nature. The wall is decorated with simple and natural European pine plates, which is flat, strong, light in weight and low in formaldehyde emission.

On the second floor, the banquet hall with the theme of "midsummer" is full of people. The screen is movable, and it is taken from the folk bamboo weaving patterns in China. When the distinguished guests are seated, they can enclose the screen, so that each guest can have a "sitting against the wall" emphasized in China's dining etiquette, and sit in all directions, which is in line with China's dining etiquette.

The Audiovisual Hall, which also lives on the second floor, takes the "terraced fields" reflecting the wisdom and hard work of the ancient working people in China as the theme, and sets long chairs without backrests on the sloping fields along the contour lines, which is simple, modern and comfortable. The carpet adopts the theme of "Equinox, Grain Rain" in 24 solar terms, which is unique to China. Full of green, refreshing, makes the audience feel as if they are in nature.

The design of the VIP room on the second floor combines the elements of land and trees. Carpets with the theme of "golden autumn", tapestries with the theme of "endless life" and accessories with 24 solar terms as elements make China's unique solar terms culture and indoor exhibitions artistically integrated.

The theme exhibition area of "People" in China Pavilion is the focus of the specific exhibition, which is divided into three sections: agricultural civilization, food for the people and smart future, and there are 1 1 representative exhibitions. For example, the part showing Beijing is to show the production process of Quanjude Roast Duck through clay sculpture, paper-cutting or Chinese painting, and to show Beijing's intangible cultural heritage at close range.

Designers from Tsinghua University also designed a mascot and logo (L0GO) for the China Pavilion of the Milan Expo. The symbol of China Pavilion is the outline and curve of nature outlined by lines and faces. Blue represents the sky, green represents the field, gold represents food, and red represents people and life. The undulating line segments are full of rhythm, resembling the "mountain" shape of the main building of China Pavilion, and embodying the overall design concept of "heaven, earth, people and harmony". Song Jie said that in order to design the China Pavilion, Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts and Shangqing Design Institute invested nearly 100 people. After more than two years of design and nearly one year of construction. At present, many creative designers are still serving the China Pavilion in Milan.
